@Owennfa None of this is true. You’re allowed up to 250k in profit if single. You can also subtract closing costs plus renovations. Even with no renovations or closing costs, the taxable amount would be 80k, not the total amount paid in tax
@NYorNothing@Owennfa This only applies on investment properties. On primary residences you’re allowed to make 250k if single or 500k if married. Anything over that is subject to capital gains
