I am excited to share that my new Tansley Insight has been published in New Phytologist.
This review reflects on current progress and remaining challenges in using field-measured plant hydraulic traits to predict large-scale ecosystem drought responses. I am grateful to the many researchers whose collective efforts have laid the foundation for tackling these scaling challenges across observations and models, and to New Phytologist for the opportunity to contribute.

🌊 Join us! 🌿 Postdoc (remote option) & Ph.D. positions available in our USGS-funded eco-hydrology project. Boost water budget predictions across the US! 🚀 Apply: [https://t.co/pUOwDh0qmz] Please share with those who might be interested. Thanks! 🙌 #ResearchJobs#PhD#Postdoc
Joined Cornell three months ago. Beautiful campus, many gorges and waterfalls. Also looking for new graduate students. Please send your application if you are interested in data synthesis and computational ecology.
Our paper is published at @NatureComms today! We found that vegetation sensitivity to precipitation has increased in the drylands and decreased in the wet regions during the past four decades. CO2 is the major cause for these divergent trends. https://t.co/1MVbACPbK3
Our new GRL paper is online! Special thanks to my fantastic collaborators!

New paper by @yanlan_liu et al. shows that Arctic shrub expansion under climate warming is overestimated if seed dispersal and fire are neglected
