Feels surreal, but my talk about the power of "playtivism" is TALK OF THE DAY on https://t.co/u60Ne4I3xz. Forever grateful to my @TEDResidency, @TEDFellow and @fine_acts families, all partners and collaborators, and my rock @cuteater. #playtivism https://t.co/WiqLoX4ssR
For #16DaysOfActivism against Gender-Based Violence, we commissioned the incredible Rozalina Burkova to create a new set of visuals.
Bold. Loud. Yours to use.
Violence against women is a global emergency. According to the most recent UN data, in just the past year, 11% of women 15+ were harmed by an intimate partner. And nearly 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical and/or sexual violence in their lifetime.
And while leaving is complex, often unsafe, and rarely straightforward – this work aims to empower those navigating danger.

Where they go next is up to you.
Let’s lose losers. For good.

There is no more time for excuses: as the evidence of Israel’s genocide continues to mount the international community cannot claim they didn’t know.
As Israeli authorities and forces intensify their brutal campaign of annihilation, particularly in Gaza City, the UN Commission of Inquiry's damning new report provides further confirmation of what Amnesty International and others have been concluding for months: that the Israeli authorities and Israeli forces have committed and are continuing to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
With the publication of these two reports, @btselem and @PHRIsrael become the first two Israeli organizations to state it loud and clear, based on meticulous documentation and research: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

The latest @theIPCinfo alert confirms what we have feared:
Gaza is on the brink of famine.
The facts are in — and they are undeniable.
Palestinians in Gaza are enduring a humanitarian catastrophe of epic proportions.
This is not a warning.
It is a reality unfolding before our eyes.
The trickle of aid must become an ocean. Food, water, medicine, and fuel must flow in waves and without obstruction.
This nightmare must end.
Ending this worst-case scenario will take the best efforts of all parties -- now.
We need an immediate and permanent humanitarian ceasefire; the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages; and full, unfettered humanitarian access across Gaza.
This is a test of our shared humanity – a test we cannot afford to fail.
The worst-case scenario of famine is now unfolding in Gaza.
Widespread starvation, malnutrition & disease are driving a rise in hunger-related deaths amid relentless conflict, mass displacement & severely restricted humanitarian access.

Jambo! 👋 – this time from the 2025 @TEDCountdown Summit in Nairobi 🌏🗣️
We are just back from Kenya, where @TEDCountdown brought together a visionary global group of innovators, scientists, policymakers, artists, and activists – all united in their commitment to building a brighter future.
Fine Acts is a strategic partner of Countdown – @TEDTalks global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis – ever since its launch in 2020. In Kenya, we collaborated on a couple of awesome creative interventions – stay tuned for details!
In addition, our team attended the Summit with a focused intention: to explore the intersection of climate and women, and connect with others who are working at this vital crossroads. Over the next three years, we’ll be dedicating much of our efforts to this space – more to come soon! 🌟
Huge thanks to the amazing @TEDCountdown and @TEDFellow teams, Kairos Futura, @TEDxNairobi, @tedxamazonia, and all the incredible artists, activists, and humans we got to work and hang out with! 💚

✨ It was exciting, it was mindful, it was thought-provoking, and it was honest. We were honored to be part of the 2024 @ObamaFoundation#DemocracyForum! Our co-founder, Pavel Kounchev, joined President @BarackObama, global civil society, community & business leaders, democracy experts & policymakers in Chicago to explore the importance of pluralism in the current times through authentic storytelling, connection, and finding communality within an increasingly polarized world. 🤝❤️
🚀 We need more dreamers! And we at Fine Acts stay committed to making spaces, tools, and opportunities for them.
👏 Shoutout to @VancityReynolds and @TheReynaRoberts for all the inspiration.
We are so excited to join the 2024 Obama Foundation Democracy Forum! Our co-founder, Pavel Kounchev, one of the inaugural Obama Foundation Scholars, is in Chicago with global civil society and community leaders, democracy experts, policymakers, and business leaders. Together, they’re exploring the importance of pluralism—honoring the diversity of our identities and communities while working together for timely causes and the collective good. 🌍✨
In an age of hyper-polarization and “othering,” affirming the value and practice of pluralistic democracy is crucial. We’re honored to be part of this global conversation about building bridges, fostering inclusion, and strengthening democracy for a brighter future. 💡🤝
