Saw prothonotary warbler, hooded warbler, yellow-rumped warblers, blue-gray gnetcatcher etc. at CP Pool and Loch, among 31 species seen during the Linnaean Society morning walk. (Failed to get a good shot of the hooded warbler :) ) @BirdCentralPark @LinnaeanNY @CentralParkNYC

American bittern, initially on a tree at the south shore of the Pool, flew away after a while, wading among the reed on the north shore, very well camouflaged.

@penniepotpourri @Purplebooklady @BirdCentralPark I am pretty sure that the female was a mallard. These are our famous Mr. Wood duck and his mallard girlfriend, I believe.
