🇵🇰 Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar Khan have been arrested, following a federal takeover of the province.
Emerging reports claim that governor's rule has been imposed and the PTI-led provincial government, which held a two-thirds majority, has been dissolved, with its powers transferred to federal authorities.
The developments follow reports of a security lockdown and communications blackout in Peshawar, alongside allegations that ten PTI lawmakers and ministers were abducted by unidentified armed men.
PTI supporters are now accusing Pakistan's federal leadership of overturning the province's electoral mandate, in what could become a major political confrontation.

🇵🇰 What's happening to PTI supporters in Pakistan?
The latest allegations from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are DEEPLY troubling.
Barrister Shahzad Akbar claims Pakistan's ISI is paying members of the so-called “Good Taliban” to abduct PTI workers and elected representatives.
He says an armed group has been assembled specifically to spread fear and prevent PTI's long march.
These allegations haven't been independently established, and they DEMAND a proper investigation.
But I keep thinking about the families of those being targeted.
Imagine being politically active in your own country and having to worry that armed men could come for you simply because of whom you support.
Whatever your politics, nobody should have to live with that fear.

🇵🇰 Pakistan's Peshawar is under a major security lockdown, with roads blocked, mobile networks disrupted, and the provincial chief minister cut off from outside communication.
Authorities have sealed off the city's heavily secured Red Zone, placing shipping containers across major roads and highways.
Reports indicate that electricity, telephone and internet connections to Chief Minister Sohail Afridi's residence have been disrupted, potentially leaving him and his associates unable to communicate with the outside world.
Security is reportedly on high alert across the city, although the reason for the restrictions and the extent of the communications blackout remain unclear.
The lockdown comes as Sohail Afridi's PTI party, led by Imran Khan, alleges that ten of its lawmakers and provincial ministers have been abducted by unidentified armed men, raising further concerns about the political situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

🇵🇰The final minutes of a brilliant young life destroyed by pure greed
22 year old gold medalist Laiba Ejaz took her life in Islamabad after a scammer wiped out her family’s entire life savings.
Her milk vendor father sold his land and her mother pawned her jewelry to pay 9.3 million rupees for fake Harvard admission papers.
The alleged main scammer, Muhammad Nauman has been arrested.
In her final hours, her only plea to her uncle was to hide the truth from her father.
Absolutely heartbreaking 💔

🇵🇰 Pakistan's federal government has reportedly taken control of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stripping Imran Khan's PTI-led provincial administration of its powers.
According to emerging reports, President Asif Zardari has approved the imposition of governor's rule and emergency regulations, removing Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and his cabinet's governing authority.
The decision follows the federal cabinet's recommendation to impose emergency measures, claiming deteriorating security conditions and accusing the provincial government of failing to cooperate in the fight against 'militancy.'
It also comes as Peshawar faces a security lockdown and communications disruptions, while PTI alleges that ten of its lawmakers and provincial ministers have been abducted.
If confirmed, the move would mark a major escalation in the confrontation between Pakistan's federal government and Imran Khan's party.
