Perhaps becoming warmer than average as the coming week progresses. Surprisingly, 40mm rainfall, give or take, or 62% of the local average rainfall for the August, recorded here at Wyck Hill last month! Not too bad given that locally, we would expect 64.86mm.
https://t.co/MKR6J0eXgH. First September Sunday and time to post a BBC Weather Watchers report! Temperatures backing off but still, relatively dry, with spells of sunshine. Much the same for the coming week, although a chance of rain, later. Temperatures staying near normal.
I always like to mention the previous month's rainfall! July was very dry (record breaking indeed) with just 0.9mm rainfall recorded for the entire month (or 1.5% of the local average). Just two showers registered, one on the 1st and one on the 26th July! Not a lot!
https://t.co/nkdtU6pSyN The first Sunday of August and time to post one of my regular BBC Weather Watchers reports. Another dry and rather hot one, with little sign of major change over the coming week. Some risk of showers, mid-week and temperatures nearer normal by the weekend.
Yes! June was surprisingly wet despite a record breaking heatwave, with 83.1 mm recorded at Wyck Hill. This represents 145% of the local average June rainfall, so definitely wetter than May!
https://t.co/kVCSjEutMJ I missed posting on Sunday, so here is my BBC Weather Watchers post for today (Wednesday). A hot one and pretty dry too, with a humidity falling below 30%rh! Things set to stay as they are, for at least another week, before hints of a breakdown. June rain?
With 59.1 mm rain recorded by my home weather station, May was a little wetter than April with 78% of the local average. A wet start to June too, with 36.9mm recorded by late afternoon today and more to come this evening. The joys of an English summer!
https://t.co/5o895aN3w0 A week into the meteorological summer and time to post one of my BBC Weather Watchers reports. What a difference a week makes and what happened to our heat wave? Not a lot of joy in the immediate forecast but should improve next weekend. What about rain?

April turned out quite dry with just 17.4mm recorded at Wyck Hill, or 31% of the local average. Actually better than some parts of the East of England!
We kicked off May with 6.6mm falling on Saturday 2nd, but initial forecasts suggest it could turn drier after the Bank Holiday!
https://t.co/JPxskzGv9a. Another Bank Holiday Weekend, as we start May, and perhaps time for a Sunday BBC Weather Watchers Report! A step backwards, weatherwise, and likely to be chillier than of late over the week to come, but perhaps turning a bit more settled again. Rainfall?
11% of the local average rainfall for March recorded, but missing 11 days data, due to synchronising problems after a battery change! Initial Met Office figures suggest less than 33% of the local average anyway, and it wasn't a damp 11 days!
https://t.co/2lCLeVkfvf As we enjoy the Easter weekend, time for a Sunday BBC Weather Watchers Report! Not a bad day and a promising week to come, possibly setting highest temperature for the year so far! Definitely justifies the clocks going forward a week ago! A dry March...
Have you seen this? Reform UK has just pledged to rip up legal protections for workers and renters. I'm really worried about it. I've signed a petition to stop the steal. Can you add your name too? https://t.co/oNh5umkGRA via @megaphoneuk
Ah yes, last month's rainfall. 69.9mm recorded for the month of February, which makes it 27.5% wetter than the local average, of 54.83mm! This was despite missing a few days recording when the rain gauge funnel became blocked, although not a lot of rain fell during that spell.
https://t.co/ikILqj08Fi Another month and another posted BBC Weather Watchers Report. The first day of the Meteorological Spring and feels like it, following a week's dress rehearsal! It should stay like this for at least a few more days. What about February's rainfall?
https://t.co/yhSrNXiQwr. Another new month and here is my BBC Weather Watchers report for today. It was a wet January with over one and a half times the local average rainfall for the month, and not much let up for the coming week. At least remaining relatively mild for February!
Oxfordshire County Council must scrap proposals to close fire stations, remove fire engines, cut firefighter posts, and impose unsafe 12-hour shifts.
I've just signed this petition. Please add your name too. This cause is close to me. https://t.co/AmBYNRvtHr via @megaphoneuk
