@AkaiylaM I agree! not saying all kids should be friends but it should be a line of respect for everyone so no one is on the receiving end of cyberbullying. it can be hard to do this with remote learning but anything is possible nowadays.
@Tabitha62523157 I agree that there should be blockers because when kids find something they shouldn't be looking it, it can affect them a great deal. Schools should be more stricter when it comes to blocking certain websites.
#EdChat2022 technology is becoming the main source of how students learn. it's important that schools take the time to make sure that students know how to use the device they are provided with. If they don't know how to use it, it'll affect the way they learn.
@DrakeForClass I think educational games especially the virtual reality ones gives a person a different perspective on the subject. A textbook/powerpoint can only do so much. my drivers ed teacher also had us play a couple of driving games to make the people that felt nervous a bit more comfort
@KelseyLaReau_ I also think games and simulations will become a norm due to covid because when you place a student in an online course they will obviously get bored. At least with educational games it gives them a break from writing notes, taking quizzes, etc.
#EDChat2022 I feel like using educational games in classes are beneficial because it gives a child a chance to combine their favorite activity with what they are learning. when you give them a break from the routine they will be focused on the subject when you return back to it
@ClaraHickman20 you're right! there are some people who use twitter as a search engine which isn't weird or anything because twitter does have a lot of information. but using it for a research project or any project relating to school is something that isn't a credible source.
@SteinbaughLacey I agree! it should be available to all type of schools because we are only gonna keep progressing into the technology world. the less people that can't use it are only gonna be left behind and that's not fair
with technology rapidly improving it would be beneficial to incorporate it within the younger kids in the lower grade levels even more. it'll play a big role for the younger kids that don't have access to technology at home so they won't fall behind as they get older #edchat2022
as we get older the websites we also use are getting older. it's important that we fact check what we find on the internet because sometimes the date that the information was published isn't always visible/ easy to find. #edchat2022
if you have the chance to look into more info on .com urls always do so. .com urls aren't as safe as a .gov url, meaning anyone can create their own website and put whatever they would like. #edchat2022
