Let me give you just one Hadith, that exemplified absolute justice in system.

The statement was made when some people wanted to intercede for a woman from a powerful clan who had committed theft, hoping the legal punishment would be waived because of her status. The Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wa sallam) became visibly upset and gave this statement to make a clear point.

The Noble Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi Wa Alihi Wasallam said:

“Those before you were destroyed because when a noble person stole, they let him go, but when a weak person stole, they carried out the punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatimah the daughter of Muhammad were to steal, I would cut off her hand.”

Reported in Sahih al-Bukhari (Hadith 6788) & in Sahih Muslim (Hadith 1688).

This is a justice system you can never find in any so-called religion of the world outside Islam.

If true Shariah is followed, nobody is above the law. Islamic law is way above whatever human law you'd think of; in perfection and in delivering justice.

Defence Minister Uses NSA's Office To Harass Opposition, Zamfara Gov't Raises Alarm

The Zamfara State Government has expressed serious concern about the harassment of opposition figures within the state using federal might.

The Zamfara State Government is left with no other option but to bring to public notice how the Minister of State for Defence has used the office of the National Security Adviser to harass and intimidate the opposition.

We received a shocking and distressing message that Saleem Abubakar, a Technical Assistant in the Office of the Zamfara State Governor, was abducted in Abuja yesterday.

The illegal abduction was said to be carried out by a special forces unit from the office of the National Security Adviser.

The most unfortunate and worrying part of the abduction of Saleem Abubakar is that it was syndicated through the office of the NSA by the State Minister for Defence, Bello Matawalle.

The abductors, without an arrest warrant, took Saleem to an unknown location, which we later found out they moved him to different facilities to cover their tracks.

This is a perilous precedent that all Nigerians must strongly condemn. No amount of desperation is worth compromising the neutrality of the security.

We cannot afford to fold our arms and watch the highest security office of the country being used as a tool of political persecution.

We call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to call the office of the National Security Adviser to order. Such reckless actions are detrimental to Nigeria's reputation.

If the Defence Minister or the abductors of Saleem Abubakar from the National Security Adviser's office have any problem with him, they should charge him in court instead of abducting him.

We are closely monitoring this case of federal impunity and will follow it to a logical conclusion, ensuring that justice is served.

Let me tell you a story that says almost everything you need to know about the kind of person @AM_Saleeeem is.

Saleem and I have been cool for years on the TL. We disagreed often, but there was always mutual respect and occasional engagement, until one day around 2024, when we had a serious disagreement over the current Zamfara State government. Everyone knows Saleem leans toward them, and I was openly critical. The argument became heated, words were exchanged, and in the heat of the moment we both said things we probably did not need to say. We unfollowed each other and went our separate ways.

After that episode, Saleem and I stopped engaging entirely. No reconciliation, no back and forth, just distance. Everybody minded their space and respected themselves.

Then came June 2025, When I was invited by the authorities. I posted about it here, and many people watched as the situation unfolded. When I eventually left their office and opened my Twitter account, the very first message I saw was from Saleem. Despite our past disagreement, despite the fact that we were no longer on talking terms, he reached out to check on me. Not only that, he made several posts on the TL standing up for me, questioning my invitation, and insisting that I had done nothing wrong.

Even when several people I interact with daily, people who claim friendship and shared values, could not make a single post in my defense because they are close to the government. Saleem, who had no obligation to me at that point, chose principle over comfort. That moment changed how I saw him and earned my respect in a way words cannot explain.

Saleem has built a reputation for consistently standing up for people who are unlawfully arrested, harassed, or silenced for speaking their minds. He does not ask whether they are his friends or whether he agrees with them politically. He simply shows up when it matters. Today, it is heartbreaking that he has become a victim of the very injustice he always speaks against. It is unfortunate that today, we have small-minded people in positions of power who are so thin-skinned they cannot even tolerate simple criticism.

I am not particularly worried about the minister’s role in this. I know the kind of person he is, What truly troubles and disappoints me is the reported involvement of the ONSA in the arrest of a mere social media influencer whose only offense was speaking up. Treating him as though he were a terrorist or a bandit is a dangerous abuse of state power.

I hold that office in very high regard, and I have great respect for the person occupying it, which makes this development deeply painful and unacceptable.

Nigerians will never stop speaking up, unless you will come for everybody.
