Some years before RTE’s DG Dee Forbes was caught out, she offered her advice on how people should behave in business:
“There is a need for transparency in business. People need to be open, they need to be honest, and very willing to share information.”
The wealthiest in Irish society give zero f**ks about the most vulnerable. They sit atop a vicious class based society. They donate to charities & sit on charity boards for status & vanity, & not to change or challenge any structural or systemic injustices. They bear no burden.
Today’s slanted 'Security Forum' is the latest in a long-running effort to water down Ireland’s historic neutrality – it must be opposed by anyone committed to peace and diplomacy.

I tweeted this two months ago. Not a single Irish journalist followed. Not one.
I cannot stress how crooked, dishonest & willing to cover up for pals most Irish media are.
i just think that if i had even a fraction of the wealth either of them had i would not spend my days drooling over a keyboard about how the most marginalized people in the world are oppressing me actually
Martin says it's undemocratic to shut down debate.
He's the one who voted against a referendum.
He's the one who abandoned plans for a Citizens Assembly.
He's the one who organised a stacked forum without a balanced debate.
In apartment complexes across the city, social tenants are segregated into separate blocks with barriers to access to amenities. “I think it’s wrong for the kids growing up,” says Dee Roche, Hamilton Gardens, Cabra. “It’s starting a divide among the kids.”

Opinion: The Hate Offences Bill is far from anti-democratic - rather it is the mark of a civilised society and it needs to be enacted as soon as possible... https://t.co/peNvVpK0lF
The transphobia of today, is the homophobia of yesterday.
From Ireland in 1993:
"I believe it to be an abnormality"
"I'm concerned for young people under the age of 18"
"It will introduce to boys and girls a lifestyle that is an abomination"

The West End has officially lost its mind. I just looked up ticket prices for @DoubtfireUK, now in previews at @Shaftesbury1911: tickets this week are up to £159.50 — with the cheapest seats at £50 in the rear upper circle.
It was another really, really hectic and tiring evening tonight. We had 550 meals and more came in this evening. All were gone within an hour and a half.
The current situation of migrants coming down caused extreme unrest tonight. Yet our hopes were the same as they have been for the past 7 years: to get down there and feed as many people as possible. We dont base our services on colour, creed, race, or ethnicity; if the people are hungry and we have food, we feed them. We are blessed to be able to provide this servive to those in need and we hope to continue for as long as needed.
However, the situation is becoming more and more hectic and hostile. People are growing tired from the situation from the government that has yet to change. People approach us crying because they cant get beds to sleep in. As we cannot control such circumstances, we in turn become tired and frustrated seeing that we are standing in the same position for the past 7 years and the government has yet to progress the situation. We do not know when it will end.
As aggressive and restless as the situation was, we were able to feed people again tonight and hope that the compassion and warmth they recieved was enough to provide them with some bright hope.
We want to give a huge thank you to @brassonionbistro, Safco, @goldenolive and @difontainespizzaria for their donations tonight. By receiving such support we regain confidence in our efforts and our mission to provide better circumstances for those in need.
We additionally appreciate the continuous support from the Irish public. Without it, we could not stand 7 years strong. Please continue supporting us by donating through the link below
