Alfa Told Her Tradition Was Nothing, Sent Warning to Olubadan to Banish OLOLU – Now a Young Woman Is Allegedly Dead, and the Mockers Are Silent

An Alfa stood before the world and declared that Ibadan belongs to Alfa, not Egungun. He told the Olubadan to send OLOLU worshippers to the forest. He said tradition is backward. He said women should not be told to stay indoors. He said this is 2026, as if the ancestors expire with time.

Now a young woman is allegedly dead.

She listened to him. She believed his words. She thought she could mock the sacred and walk away. She disguised herself as a man to watch the OLOLU parade. She thought she was safe. She was not.

Now she is gone. And the same Alfa who misled her is silent. He has no explanation. He cannot bring her back. He cannot answer for what he has done.

He told the Olubadan to send Egungun to the forest. But the ancestors do not go to the forest. They are here. They are in the land. They are in the blood of every Yoruba who still remembers who they are.

The Alfa spoke with arrogance. He dismissed what he cannot control. He mocked what he does not understand. And now a young woman has allegedly paid the price for his ignorance.

We do not celebrate her death. We mourn her. She was led astray by a man who thinks his religion gives him the right to erase our heritage. She was a victim of his arrogance.

But her alleged death is a warning. The ancestors are not a joke. Isese is not a relic. And those who mock them will learn, whether they believe or not.

The Alfa must answer for what he has done. The blood of that young woman is on his hands. And no amount of prayer will wash it away.
