You have given these words true meaning in my life. You have stood by my side through every season.

The burdens that were mine to bear often found their way onto your shoulders. The thoughts I could not put into words somehow found their way to you.

In difficult times, when the future was uncertain, you stayed calm beside me and prayed with me.

Through all these years, you have remained the one who truly understands me.

More often than not, you sense when I need counsel before I ask. There have been nights when your presence alone was counsel enough.

I call you my truest friend and confidante because you speak the truth plainly, even on the days I would rather not hear it.

After a demanding day, you wait until we are alone before telling me what I need to hear. I have always cherished you for that honesty.

Yesterday, I was in Ekwusigo Local Government to commission a newly completed 3-kilometer road.

Built by the Ekwusigo LG administration under Mayor Chimezie Obi, the road was constructed with sub-cement stabilization, stone-base laying, and top-grade asphalt finishing. It is a landmark achievement. I doubt if any Local Government in the State has constructed a road of this superior standard in the last 20 years. Kudos to you, Mayor Chimezie.

This is definitive proof that the Local Government system in Anambra is back, working effectively, and adding value directly to the grassroots.

We deliberately restructured and strengthened the Local Government framework through our local administration laws to ensure fiscal strength and long-term sustainability. The result is what we are seeing today.

The era when Local Government Councils were struggling to pay primary health workers, pensioners, and gratuities is over. Today, they are building quality roads and delivering impactful projects.

The Ekwusigo road is a proof of concept for what empowered local administrations can achieve. In the coming weeks, I will be touring various LGAs to commission more projects executed by our Mayors.

Across Anambra, we remain one large construction site, with over 137 roads and projects awaiting commissioning.

The people's money is working for the benefit of the people. This is the APGA and Solution agenda at work.

I also commissioned the legislative building inside the Ekwusigo LG Secretariat and gave cash awards to students and schools involved in the skills acquisition programme of the Mayor.

Fuel is now ₦1,500 without subsidies in our deregulated market.

Are you bringing back the subsidy or not? If you are bringing back subsidies, what is your target pump price?

We now have a local refinery. How will a petrol subsidy affect this refinery?

With a petrol subsidy, you will also need to bring back the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) to ensure that prices remain uniform across the country. You will have to pay billions in bridging fees; otherwise, arbitrage will occur. Bridging fees is another channel for corruption and leakage.

Furthermore, how long will this petrol subsidy run? To keep petrol at N500, with 55m litres daily consumption on average, you have a monthly subsidy bill of N1.65trn.

You will also be inheriting an active budget that contains no provisions for subsidies. How will you fund it? You would have to borrow heavily and send a supplementary budget to the National Assembly.

What is this nonsense about corruption that he keeps bringing up? This is the exact same thing the late President Buhari said, claiming that subsidy was nothing but corruption. Yet, once he took office, he began issuing Eurobonds to fund the very same subsidy he claimed did not exist.

This man discusses national policy issues like a primary school student. Remove corruption from what? How?

Final post on Peter Obi and I'll shift my attention to other matters temporarily, assuming Obidients won't provoke me again...

When you see Peter Obi talking about taxation, especially during the tax reform bills conversation last year and the year before, with the way he was lambasting President Tinubu and accusing him of taxing poverty, you'll think he gave tax exemption to ndi Anambra for the eight years he was our governor.

On the contrary, Mr. Peter Obi imposed high levies and taxes on struggling traders in such an arbitrary way to the point that market women had to protest to the government house in Agu Awka.

In this video, you can see a trader complaining that Obi was taxing them N9,600 per individual. To contextualise this, in 2011 Nigeria's minimum wage was increased to N18,000. So, Obi was trying to collect more than 50% of the minimum wage as tax from market women including petty traders.

This is the same Peter Obi that is fond of telling you he lifted people out of poverty.

In the video you can see Obi's SSG, Chief Oseloka Obaze trying to address the women but they insisted on hearing directly from Obi.

Despite this high levies, most of the IGR eventually found their way into private pockets.

Well, I'm glad a lot of people now know some truths about Obi's governance in Anambra State.

Let me pause here for now...

In less than three months to the general elections, the APC has just won bye-elections in 4 out of 5 Federal and State Assembly constituencies in 3 regions in the country, namely North-West (Kano), North-East (Bauchi and Gombe) and South-South (Delta - my State). APC lost one State Assembly constituency in Bauchi to the APM.

The spread of those votes for the APC across the 3 regions is VERY SIGNIFICANT going into the general elections in January. The makers of our Constitution that insisted that, for someone to be President of Nigeria, you have to secure 25 percent of the votes in two-third of the States in the country were no fools, taking into account the heterogeneous nature of Nigeria.

Let me keep our gunpowder dry for now. A fuller analysis of this significant factor in Presidential elections will follow on January 19th or 20th, 2027 when PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU is declared winner of the Presidential election by the power of the people of Nigeria and the usual wailings begin.
