Today I bought a meat, planning to grind it for a recipe. While slicing it open, I came across something really strange embedded deep inside the meat a weird, grayish-green lump that looks almost like a paste or some kind of growth.
What’s even stranger is that neither the meat nor the lump has any bad smell, but the appearance is definitely off and unsettling.
Now I’m not sure what to do. Could this be some kind of abscess, tumor, or infection from the animal? Or maybe a defect that went unnoticed during processing?
Is it still safe to use the rest of the meat if I cut that part out? Or should I just throw the whole thing away to be safe?
Honestly, I lost my appetite, and I’m worried about whether it’s safe for me or my family to eat.
Has anyone else ever seen something like this before? Should I report it to the store?

Saheed Osupa is trending because the Fuji icon ridiculed Gov. Seyi Makinde to promote APC’s guber candidate Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli. [Full]
At Alli’s declaration ceremony in Oyo, Osupa indirectly called GSM a fraud, and his candidate a stranger. As Oyo only recognize the person backed by the Olubadan.
He also mentioned past Governors who performed well in Oyo State, but notably omitted Governor Seyi Makinde.
Fans found it bizzare because he was a supporter of Seyi Makinde and on his birthday in 2023 Seyi got him a brand new ₦70M Toyota SUV;
Afterwhich he hailed Seyi Makinde as the “best”. Until today. However, some fans feel he was just doing his job today in Oyo.
Recall, last month PunchNews exclusively reported that Pres. Tinubu had approved Obafemi Hamzat for Lagos guber-candidate, Yayi for Ogun, and Sharafadeen Alli for Oyo, after dropping Bayo Adelabu over his unpopularity.

This story is about John Edward Jones and how the cave became his grave. He was a medical student, husband and father of one (with another child on the way). On the 24th of November 2009, he went caving with a group that included his brother and friends in Nutty Putty Cave. This cave was a popular but very tight and technical cave system located southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.
John was an experienced caver. During the trip, he chose to explore a narrow, unmapped side passage he mistakenly thought was the "Birth Canal" (a known tight turnaround section). Instead, he entered a dead-end vertical fissure head-first. The opening was extremely constricted. It was roughly 10 inches by 18 inches and he became wedged upside down at about a 70–80° angle, with his arms pinned and his body compressed. His feet pointed upward toward the narrow slot above him.
He called for help, and his brother Josh eventually raised the alarm. A massive rescue operation began, involving over 130 rescuers (including professionals and volunteers) over the next 27–28 hours. They used ropes, pulleys, and even tried chipping rock to free him. At one point, they almost succeeded in extracting him using a hoist system, but an anchor point failed, and he slipped back deeper into the crevice. The position caused severe physiological stress: inverted posture made breathing difficult, blood pooled in his head, and the compression restricted his chest and diaphragm.
Despite heroic efforts, John suffered cardiac arrest due to the prolonged strain, pressure on his body, and inability to breathe properly. He was pronounced dead around 11:56pm on November 25, 2009.
Because of the extreme danger to rescuers and the technical difficulty, his body could not be safely recovered. The decision was made to leave him where he was. Nutty Putty Cave was permanently sealed with concrete shortly afterward and has remained closed ever since. John's final resting place is inside it.
@TrendingEx They better come and learn reporting in Nigeria, it will be 3days after the incidents that the reporter will visit the scene with the police entourage
Trending Story: In 2018 Nigerian Police arrested a robber who slept off at a victims house, he slept till death in Ondo.
Apparently, his gang went to rob a pharmacy in Owo. As they were about to leave, two hijacked a customers Bajaj bike and left.
The third guy, tried using their own getaway bike, but he tripped, fell to the ground and mysteriously fell into deep sleep.
Passersby rushed to apprehend him but found out he was in deep deep sleep.
Police arrived, tried to wake him, no success. Recovered his guns. Then found 400MG of tramadol in his pockets. Apparently he had taken overdose.
They took him to the station — he was still sleeping. They arraigned him in court — he was still sleeping. On the 9th day, he died.
Apparently they wanted to kidnap the pharmacy owner, luckily he fled through the back.
Later, a human rights lawyer in Ogun, Jiti Ogunye accused the police of negligence, alleging that the kidnapper died because the police didn’t feed him.

This is MKO Abiola’s campaign jingle in 1993. Watch it and listen to the problems Nigeria had 33years ago.
You can use the same advert song without changing any word in it in 2026 and it will still be very relatable today.
Update: Daniel Bwala Reacts, Blames Hassan Mehdi and Al Jazeera.
“My job is to defend the President. They contacted me to speak on security, economy, corruption. Mehdi didn’t tell me they were going to question my past. They should have informed me so I could prepare. Mehdi was playing opposition.”
— Paraphrasing Daniel Bwala’s Statement.
Daniel Bwala is trending because he fumbled during an interview on Aljazeera, drawing laughter from the audience.
On H2H with Megdi Hassan, Pastor Bwala said Nigeria has arrested the leaders of Boko Haram and Lakurawa. And has never ‘mistakenly’ bombed civilians, and Nigeria is safer since 2023.
When they presented empirical fact, Bwala first admitted that the number of casualties increased in 2024, and even more in 2025. But somehow, he still insisted Nigeria is safer than before. When Hassan asked how? He said.. because of “context”.
Bwala started by calling the Christian genocide a hoax. Almost on same breath he admitted that it wasn’t a hoax, leaving Hassan and the crowd perplexed.
Bwala denied all of his old statements, tweets and interviews where he spoke against Tinubu. As he denied, Hassan read them back word for word. Bwala said, they are not true. They are his opinion. And he was in opposition, which involves lying. Hassan said, you don’t lie about a militia, Bwala said, that’s his opinion.
Hassan read him accounts of people who suffered Airforce bombing attacks, people who were kidnapped, Bwala said the data were not trustworthy because they are from western media. So, Hassan read him a local report and admission from the Nigerian Airforce, Bwala said it’s not true.
As Bwala denied facts, Hassan presented evidence. Each time, Bwala said “I am not aware of that.” Prompting Hassan to say.
“A week ago you put out a video of you and your team researching and preparing for this show. Yet each time I ask you something you say you are not aware of that.. then what were you researching in that video?..” — This sent laughter across the audience.
At a point Bwala compared terrorism attack to the 9/11 attack and said America also currently suffers terrorist attacks like Nigeria.. when they asked him where.. he stuttered.
