Kita takleh halau depa sebab tak banyak negara lain yang sanggup terima depa. And they know in Malaysia they are free to roam anywhere. The only thing stopping them is fear of arrest.

Aku tak setuju bagi depa kemudahan pendidikan, peluang kerja dan seumpamanya. It'll be like a dangling carrot or a fucking magnet to attract more of them to come to Malaysia.

Dalam situasi sekarang ni pun, the idea that they can roam free kat Malaysia, lepak KLCC semua tu pun dah cukup untuk 'menarik' depa datang sini.

Solution? Yes, mungkin akan jadi international crisis kalau kita 'halau' depa kemudian depa tenggelam tengah laut. And we cannot keep them here sebab dari sentimen rakyat tempatan sekarang, majority believed they have overstayed their welcome + should leave pronto.

Jadi mungkin kena ada deterrent untuk elak depa berbondong bondong datang ke Malaysia.

1. Kena register setiap seorang pelarian. Ni untuk memudahkan pihak berkuasa track depa ni. Yeah you can come here but you need to register with us. Ni pun dah cukup untuk menakutkan depa, knowing their movements will be restricted. I agree with the government's move to do this.

2. Kena SELALU buat operasi. Dan setiap operasi perlu ada liputan media menyeluruh. Pastikan gambar gambar operasi ni tersebar seantero dunia hingga dibaca oleh segala NGO depa. Dan sindiket mangkuk hayun yang dok bawa depa mai sini.

"Bila dah tangkap, nak letak depa kat mana?"

3. Malaysia ada hampir 900 buah pulau + dari jumlah ni, dalam 500 pulau adalah tak berpenghuni. Letaklah depa kat pulau pulau ni. Buat detention centre. Lepas tu boleh la segala NGO terpaling human rights ni buka sekolah + kelas menjahit kat sana. Depa nak minum tepi pantai sampai pagi pun tak kacau orang Malaysia.

"But who'll foot the bill?"

4. 'Dalang' terbesar krisis pelarian kat Malaysia ni adalah 'that' international organisation yang konon terpaling pelarian. Get them to foot the bill. NGO yang terpaling human rights tu boleh la jugak chip in. Takkan setakat gah melalak kat socmed saja. Suruh letak pelarian ni kat rumah depa tak nak pulak depa buat.

Point is, nak tangani isu ni memang susah. Susah tapi buat masa ni tak mustahil. Cuma janganlah guna alasan 'susah' untuk melengahkan tindakan hingga akhirnya jadi 'totally mustahil'.

1. Yang dok post content buli kids puak ni, ugut nak sembelih, jual organ segala bagai... hangpa masih tertakluk pada undang undang negara. So berani buat berani tanggung la.

2. Para NGO yang terpaling human rights tu pun takyah la hipokrit sangat. Bila ada yang kutuk Islam, hangpa senyap sebab kononnya 'freedom of speech' bagai. Tapi bila kena kat batang hidung sendiri atau puak yang hangpa cuba lindungi, tetiba jadi 'hate speech'. Lawak la hangpa ni. Khalas.

She was born the seventh of nine children in Kuantan.

Her father was a public servant who got transferred all over the country, so she grew up moving between small towns.

Her mother never finished school. But her mother worked harder than anyone she knew, and believed education was everything.

That belief sent Swee Lay Thein to medical school at Universiti Malaya. She graduated in 1975.

Then she moved to the UK and spent the next 20 years chasing one stubborn question. Why do some patients with blood disorders suffer terribly, needing transfusions their whole lives, while others barely feel sick?

The answer was hidden in a gene. Babies are born producing a special kind of hemoglobin that protects them. Then the body flips a switch and stops making it.

Swee Lay wanted to know what controlled that switch. If you could keep it on, you could save millions of lives.

It took her decades. She travelled across the UK collecting blood samples from families. She flew to Malawi to study a single family with 270 members across seven generations. She hit dead ends. She kept going.

In 2007, she and her team found the gene. They called it BCL11A.

That discovery led to Casgevy, the first FDA-approved CRISPR therapy for sickle cell disease and beta-thalassemia. A real cure. Already changing real lives around the world.

Last month, Dr Swee Lay Thein stood on a stage in Los Angeles and accepted the Breakthrough Prize, often called the Oscars of Science.

She is the first Malaysian-born scientist to ever win it.
In her speech she said, "As a child hanging out with my older brothers, playing on old railway tracks in Malaysia, I never imagined being here today."

She dedicated the moment to her mother. The woman who never finished school.

A girl from Kuantan. A mum who believed in education even though she never got one herself. A daughter whose work is now saving lives around the world.

That is a Malaysian story.
