Given that this current csk squad doesn’t deserve a trophy. High time we should change the captain. Don’t think he deserves to be in the team in current form. #IPLUpdates
With the increasing penetration and criticality of Digital Infrastructure in our daily lives, audit of Digital Public Infrastructure (#DPI) is more important than ever. The DPI Audit Guidelines, developed by the CAG of India, are designed to support the global audit community.
These guidelines fulfil our commitment under the New Delhi Declaration, adopted at the 16th ASOSAI Assembly held in New Delhi in 2024.
@IndiaCAG deeply appreciates the positive and encouraging feedback received from Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the ASOSAI region, especially @StateauditThai, on these guidelines. We are glad to see them contributing to future audit policy directions, DPI preparedness, and evolving discussions on AI & digital transformation in public administration.
As Chair of the INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing Committee and Chair of ASOSAI, @IndiaCAG remains firmly committed to promoting innovation, inclusion, and knowledge sharing across the global audit community.
We value our strong and enduring partnership with @StateauditThai and look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead. #ASOSAI #DPI #DigitalGovernance #DigitalPublicInfrastructure #SAI #AuditInnovation @MEAIndia@IndiainThailand

Archana Parkhe whose pottery shop was demolished is all smiles (for now).
After the authorities demolished her small pottery stall, her only source of livelihood was destroyed, taking away her ability to earn with dignity and leaving her literally begging on the streets for food and ration.
Credit to my cousin, who visited her with help, and to @TanushreePande for bringing various people onboard who will support Archana going forward.
Trying to get her a bank account with the help of my cousin so funds can be raised for her directly and transparently.
The Democratisation of C&AG Data/Reports initiative by Comptroller and Auditor General of India aims to make C&AG data and audit reports more accessible, transparent and useful for stakeholders through the use of digital technologies. By transforming static Audit Reports into interactive digital formats with granular data disclosure, the initiative strengthens data-driven decision-making and enhances public accountability.

The Strategic Orientation Workshop on Strengthening IS Audit for the Community of Practitioners (CoPs) – State Audit Offices, organised by the IS Wing of @IndiaCAG, concluded yesterday after an intensive four-day programme held from 6–9 April 2026 in hybrid mode. The workshop brought together over 70 Officers from State Audit Offices across the country to strengthen the IS Audit ecosystem at the field level.
The workshop covered a wide range of themes including the strategic role of CoPs in IS audit planning, execution, and reporting; international benchmarking with global best practices; data analytics, handling of PII data under the DPDP framework and cybersecurity audit. Thematic domain sessions on eProcurement, CCTNS, and NGDRS/ LR&S audits enabled participants to engage in focused peer discussions, with field audit parties from over 25 State Offices joining virtually.
The valedictory session, addressed by Director General Shri B. K. Mohanty, underscored that more than a formal committee, it is the activation of a high-velocity Community of Practitioners (CoP). By uniting the country’s leading IS Audit practitioners, the aim was to create a permanent synergy to drive consistency in reports, push the frontiers of advanced audit techniques, and mainstream technical innovations with a rapid turnaround. Through this continuous, real-time engagement between State Audit Offices and the CTO Wing, @IndiaCAG is institutionalizing a living ecosystem of professional excellence.

🚨 JUST IN: A migratory bird just shattered world records — flying 8,425 miles (13,560 km) NON-STOP across the Pacific without landing once.
The bar-tailed godwit doesn’t stop to eat, drink, or sleep during its migration across the Pacific Ocean. Its journey from Alaska to Australia takes roughly 11 days of continuous flight, covering over 13,000 kilometers through storms, headwinds, and open ocean with zero land beneath it the entire time.
Before departure, it does something almost surgical to its own body. It shrinks its digestive organs down to almost nothing, converting the stomach, intestines, and liver into raw fuel. The bird essentially eats its own gut to make room for fat reserves that will power its wings for nearly two weeks straight.
The brain doesn’t fully sleep either. Half of it stays active while the other half rests, alternating in shifts mid-flight at altitude over the open Pacific. The godwit is simultaneously unconscious and navigating with magnetic field sensitivity that no human instrument in the 18th century could replicate.
What makes this genuinely staggering beyond the physical record is the navigational precision involved. The bird leaves Alaska and arrives in New Zealand with accuracy that would embarrass early GPS systems. It reads Earth’s magnetic field, atmospheric pressure gradients, star positions, and potentially quantum-level compass mechanisms inside its eye that literally let it see magnetic field lines overlaid on its visual field.
Evolution spent millions of years building an aerospace navigation system inside a 300 gram animal.
We spend billions engineering machines that do what this bird does on instinct, fat reserves, and half a sleeping brain.
The longest recorded non-stop flight by a commercial aircraft is around 20 hours.
This bird does 11 days.
Without a runway.
This session also underscored CAG’s commitment to collaborative innovation, including engagement with academic institutions and emerging startups to co-create scalable, responsible AI solutions tailored to the public audit context.

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, CAG India successfully hosted an insightful session on leveraging AI for public audit, highlighting innovative tech initiatives and their role in boosting transparency, efficiency, and accountability in governance.
The 55-minute engagement featured: an inaugural address by Shri KS Subramanian, Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General; a detailed technical presentation on CAG's tech initiatives by Prof. Madhusudhanan (IIT Madras) and Shri K. Surjith (Director, O/o CAG); followed by a vibrant panel discussion on “Use of AI in Public Audit” with experts Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (Chief AI & Digital Officer, Wadhwani Foundation), Prof. Agam Gupta (IIT Delhi), Shri Naveen Singhvi (Pr. Director, O/o CAG), and Ms. Priyanka Sharma (Partner - Public Finance and Digital Government, KPMG); concluding with a vote of thanks by Shri V Ajay Yeshwanth (Director, Information Systems-II).
The event showcased CAG’s expanding AI ecosystem—ranging from in-house development of Large Language Models and AI-enabled fraud detection to remote audit capabilities, and the use of drones and GIS for evidence-based field verification. These initiatives are not merely technological upgrades; they are actively strengthening the efficacy, speed, and depth of audit processes, enabling sharper risk identification and data-driven insights.

How much did they get paid hourly over the last one year. It’s just another number you have it, give it & end the debate…
If you tell me they were At least paid 50 rupees every hour they were on the app. I’ll never tweet about gig workers again…

#WATCH | Mussoorie, Uttarakhand: At the valedictory ceremony of the 100th foundation course in LBSNAA, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh says, "You must also remember the principle of anonymity in the use of social media. The use of social media should be to bring about real change, not to create reels to feed your self-obsession. Your true image will be shaped by the people you serve, not by followers on social media..."
Viksit Bharat Talks | LBSNAA, Mussoorie | 21 Nov 2025
Hon’ble CAG of India addressed the Officer Trainees of the 100th Common Foundation Course at LBSNAA, emphasising the role of young civil servants in shaping the future of governance.
He highlighted three key pillars:
Congratulations to #MTCChennai on launching the #BusFirst campaign. While we aspire for BRTS, Bus Priority lane and increase in the number of buses and services, #BusFirst campaign aims to increase the average speed of the buses by appealing to the other modes of transport to give priority to Buses as they give priority to ambulances and fire tenders. Signal priority is also an option. These efforts should be complemented by increasing the number of buses and providing first and last mile connectivity.#CUMTA
