Today,@ERA_Spox addressed the 2nd Energy Convention. In his speech, he urged energy sector stakeholders to view Electricity as key to Uganda's goal of growing its economy from USD 50 billion to USD 500 billion by 2040.
He reaffirmed ERA's commitment to transparent, evidence-based regulation, consumer protection, innovation, and strong partnerships that foster investor confidence and sustainable growth.

The Board Members of @ERA_Uganda led by Eng. Eriasi Kiyemba conducted a strategic visit to Bujagali Energy Limited (BEL) as part of their ongoing oversight and stakeholder engagement efforts.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the regulator and the power generation company, while also assessing operational performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and the overall contribution of Bujagali to Uganda’s energy sector. During the engagement, the ERA Board was taken through key operational processes at the plant, highlighting efficiency, safety practices and environmental compliance measures.
During the Women in Energy Dinner held at the UMA Multi-Purpose Hall, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Hon. @NankabirwaRS, reiterated the Government's dedication to boosting women's involvement in the energy sector, recognizing it as a vital engine for Uganda's socio-economic progress.
