Tawheed must go beyond being a conviction we defend to becoming a reality we live. It should govern what we fear, what we hope for, what we love, what we seek, and whom we ultimately depend upon.

One can be remarkably articulate in defending the Oneness of Allah and yet discover, in moments of fear, desperation or desire, how much of the heart still needs to be disciplined by that very conviction.

Often, deepest test of our understanding of Tawheed is what becomes of us when there is no argument to win, only Allah to rely upon.
