@DaJabami@thalas01@SheepEsportsBR I don’t really think that blaming all the suffering of Chinese people on just one ‘dictator’ would be a wise choice. I mean, China didn’t even have its own industry system before 1960s, not even during ROC period. It was just an old and, in essence, agricultural country.
@thalas01@SheepEsportsBR It’s quite complex when discussing the Cultural Revolution. The Chinese government concludes that the Cultural Revolution was a huge mistake made by Mao. However, the current situation, to some extent, proves that Mao was at least not mistaken about China's problems back then.
@thalas01@SheepEsportsBR Cuz the true thing is that, Mao to Chinese people is just like Kemal to Turkish people, or Napoleon and Charles de Gaule to French people. This means way much more than simply religious worship.
@OopsGuess This is interesting. I’ve got several friends from these ‘minor ethnicities’, while none of them know or willing to say their own language. Guess what’s the reason? They just don’t really wanna get things so complicated. Leave the cultural reservation to experts, not normal guys.
@Megatron_ron Not really defending for what China is now. But I just have one little question: on what basis would you think that the prohibition on antisemitism is a worldwide one? In most of the Chinese history, one cannot contend that China actually jump into such a narrative.
@Randomando112@MyLordBebo So back to our topic: one may say that China is somehow outdated on the Juvenile Criminal Theory, but definitely not something you might assume(like pedo or what), since the logic we discussed above is at least self-consistent.
