The junta spokesperson Zaw Min Tun in Myanmar has made a statement during an Aljeezera media interview yesterday claiming that 316 civic workers have been murdered by members of the People's Defense Force. Since the coup in February, Mr Zaw Min Tun has continued to claim that 70 monks were killed and two female monks were murdered by opposition forces.
In a laughable statement, the junta has stated that the murders were carried out in a premeditated manner and that the perpetrators were members of the People's Defense Force.
However, Mr Zaw Min Tun fell short of the revelation of over 3400 citizens slaughtered by their regime and putting more than 17,000 behind bars and hundreds missing at their hands.
The junta regime is not open to domestic based media interviews, but it is open to Aljeezeera in a attempt to send more of the regime's propagandistic claims.

The truth is Myanmar crisis will not end just because a few individuals agree to shake hands to reconcile.
So, talking with perpetrators or the democratic leaders alone won't solve the issue. We all must address cessation of violence that leads to justice & accountability.
The criminal junta is escalating its atrocities against Myanmar civilians in wilful defiance of the #ASEAN 5PC it agreed to 2 years ago. ASEAN must now call for regional support to #EndTheJuntaViolence & initiate punitive measures against the junta to compel it to stop.
The revolution forces understand that the general public has been tired. So they didn’t ask to stage Silent Strike. But people simply refused to participate in SAC’s Thingyan which they purported to show how things have turned to “normal”.
