As I'm about to #FinishtheRun for Ahmaud Arbery, I can't help but think about something that happened in our trail community several months ago.

@ottpak You were wonderful! You never suck and shared so much important information! I also loved how you talked about being on the Xtra Mile Crew. Made me smile. I'll be cheering for you virtually when you run your 50k! 🙌
We’ll talk to Dan Pak about his heart condition & running an ultramarathon. Jen Dingle is getting ready to take on a new challenge @bayracerun And Robyn Michaud-Turgeon, about 19 marathons & is chasing down the World Major Marathons @NorthStar_Kwe

@dohanley You're definitely not the only one. I've been running solo since March (other than maybe two runs when case numbers were much lower or the occasional run with my husband). I've stopped looking on Strava because seeing posts of group runs bothers me so much.

One of the things that I love about @We_Are_Trail is that in addition to highlighting the good things about trail running (and there are so many!), they also highlight experiences and reflections on how to make trail running more inclusive.
"....to some people, the everyday experiences of BIPOC people with racism are “baggage,” as if we are free to leave behind our racial trauma whenever we want."
