The children are loving British Science week. What a great way to spend the first week back at school - innovating the future - exciting times! #BSW21@YMS_Year4
Millions of women in the health and social sector work tirelessly every day to care for all of us.
On International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we thank you. ๐ #WomenInScience
Women
โฆshould take care of the children
โฆbelong in the kitchen
โฆcanโt do science
Today & everyday, we're celebrating all women in science who smash these gender stereotypes, defy the status quo & change the world forever!
Happy #WomenInScience Day!

It is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
Gender bias has no place in Science or STEM.
Letโs all take the responsibility to give young children role models that reflect the equality we want to see in Science. #equalityatYateleymanor#scienceforall
Women scientists are still underrepresented & struggle to get recognition for their achievements.
On #WomenInScience Day, take a stand with #UNESCO & @UN_Women to end gender bias that holds girls back from pursuing a career in #STEM!
It is the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend. Register to take part and find useful resources on the RSPB website. Itโs a great way to spend and hour and help Scientists collect data.

STEM club were learning about the different areas of the brain and the how the shape of the skull protects it. They investigated the structure of a lambโs brain after school as part of their research. #stem#handsonscience
@YMS_Year2 loved making electrical circuits this afternoon. They demonstrated excellent collaborative skills and perseverance...it was challenging but they did not give up! ๐๐กSuch bright sparks!

Year 7 used the story of Archimedes and the gold crown to help inspire their own investigations into density of irregular solids. Excellent ideas and careful measuring. #yms_science#collaboration#problemsolvinginscience
Pre-prep scientists loved developing their own bubble mixture, improving their recipe and testing it out. Great discussion about why the bubbles were all spheres even with square and triangular wands. #YMS_Science#bubblescience#crestscience#scienceisfun
The Big Butterfly Count has started! Sir David Attenborough asks, "Where will you do yours?" https://t.co/2y19tFBxVR
Download the free app or printable ID chart and get out for the count. We want to make 2020 the biggest #ButterflyCount ever, so please retweet! ๐ฆ
We are looking forward to The Royal Society Summer Science online all this week. Powering the future at 3pm today sounds interesting. #summerscience https://t.co/JTsgxFaM8X. There is a quiz tonight too.
Our Year 8 scientists were very fortunate to take part in a session run by Laura from the @BornFreeFDN They were fascinated to find out about biodiversity in the West African rainforests and carried out research into primate species found there. #bornfree#conservation
The children designed and created their own seed that could be dispersed by the wind for Science. Some fantastic designs and methods for testing them (including some being dropped from upstairs windows)! #science#ks2#remotelearning#year4#plants
