Mr. Francis Gatare, President of African School of Governance (ASG) visited Fudan University in Shanghai, China. A meaningful visit in the year celebrating the 55th anniversary of China-Rwanda relations and China-Africa people-to-people exchanges.

In his conversation with Mr. Yin Zhiguang, professor of international politics at Fudan University, both sides underscored the importance of China-Rwanda mutual learning, be it in state governance, poverty reduction or capacity-building.

During the 2025 Engineering Convention and Annual General Assembly, the Director General of the Rwanda Housing Authority, @ndekwalpha, emphasized in his presentation that engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring that:

• housing developments are adequately serviced with essential infrastructure;
• infrastructure investments align with approved master plans and detailed physical plans; and
• urban growth does not compromise environmental protection or disaster risk management.

He affirmed that the RHA remains committed to working closely with all professionals in the built environment, as well as other stakeholders, to ensure that cities and settlements develop in an orderly, inclusive, and sustainable manner.”

Today, Amb. @JKimonyo participated in the 2nd Global Summit on Sustainable Agriculture (GSSA) in Hainan, where he delivered a presentation on Rwanda’s agricultural sector.
He invited Chinese companies to invest across Rwanda’s agriculture value chain, including machinery, irrigation, seed and fertilizer production, agro-processing, and packaging, highlighting the country’s conducive business environment.

Today, September 11, 2025, Director General of Rwanda Housing Authority (RHA) @Ndekwalpha welcomed a delegation from the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities of the Republic of Zimbabwe.

The delegation is visiting Rwanda to implement the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Rwanda and Zimbabwe, which focuses on cooperation in providing sustainable, affordable, functional, low to medium cost housing and adopting new building technologies.

Today’s activities included an inaugural meeting and visits to housing projects, such as Nyabisindu and the Mpazi Rehousing Project, a successfully completed in-situ unplanned settlement upgrading initiative, in the City of Kigali.
