🇪🇷WE STAND FOR ERITREA.
We respect our neighbors.
We support peaceful cooperation.
We believe in regional development.
But our sovereignty is not a bargaining chip, our independence is not negotiable, and our borders deserve full respect.
I stand with Eritrea's right to defend its territorial integrity.
Peace with dignity. Cooperation without coercion. Sovereignty without compromise.

Eritrean independence is an actual historical, political & settled legal fact!
Its sovereign territory is marked with its precious martyrs & the law. Any threat against this is a red line. No amount of rhetoric, misinformation, or false narrative changes this.

Just for the record. The Ethiopian regime is using a civilian aircraft to transport soldiers to the war front. By doing so, the airline is loosing its civilian immunity. 👇🏿
https://t.co/BcyVEV75Qn #Ethiopia|s posture evokes the Tigrinya proverb: “ሃሪሙኒ በኽዩ ቀዲሙኒ ኸሲሱ”, the guilty party PP, plays the victim, crying foul before the injured party, #Eritrea, can speak. By rushing to portray itself as the aggrieved party, Addis Ababa appears intent on shaping the international narrative and diverting attention from its internal conflicts and provocative regional rhetoric. But diplomatic theatre cannot substitute for evidence, and being first to make an accusation does not establish innocence.
As for the conflict entrepreneurs and media who have come out of their foxholes to serve the PP’s political agenda by amplifying its unsubstantiated allegations against #Eritrea, while ignoring the destruction and suffering unfolding within #Ethiopia, they only compromise their own credibility and integrity.
Diverting attention from the loss of Ethiopian lives and livelihoods does not absolve those enabling or prolonging the suffering. Diplomatic and political shields must not become cover for human tragedy unfolding across #Ethiopia.
#Eritrea will not be scapegoated for #Ethiopia|s internal crises, nor intimidated into surrendering its sovereign rights. The international community must examine the chronology of events, scrutinize the evidence, and apply the @UN Charter and international law consistently.
Everyone keeps calling on "both parties to stand down and return to the table." But that is not how de-escalation works. You tell the aggressor to stand down first, not the victim. While the victim stays prepared for every scenario, the pressure to stop must fall on the one who started the aggression.
That is Eritrea's message in short.
Ethiopia's "self-defense" claim rests on an allegation that Eritrea entered 60 km into its territory, yet it has not produced a single piece of evidence. Eritrea, even at the last hour, is calling for de-escalation and urging the international community to intervene and stop the aggression.
Article 2(4) of the UN Charter prohibits the threat or use of force against a state's territorial integrity and political independence. Article 51 allows self-defense only in response to an actual armed attack, and an unproven border incident does not meet that threshold. Even on Ethiopia's own line of argument, the claim fails. Meanwhile, Eritrea, whose sovereignty has been publicly and directly threatened in violation of international law, continues to exercise restraint and pursue a peaceful, amicable resolution.
Peace is not served by treating the one who threatens and the one who is threatened as equals. The African Union, the United Nations, and the wider international community have a responsibility to name the source of the escalation and press it to step back, rather than hide behind neutral language. Neutrality maybe the normal course of action considering their special responsibility as well as the possibility of acting as mediators. However, we are now very far from the avenue of mediation, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity is the foundation of any lasting peace, and dialogue can only succeed when it is not conducted under the shadow of force.

@elaplayer77 And let me guess, this so called "foreign security source", and all other "sources" for that matter, couldn't afford a phone that takes a single picture?!
#Eritrea to the #UN Security Council:
#Ethiopia’s “self-defense” claim is a hollow pretext for a war of aggression. Condemn Ethiopia’s declaration of war & act under Chapter VII before it devastates both peoples & destabilizes the entire region.

#UN & many states warned last December that Eritrea’s sovereignty must be respected. Ethiopia's "self-defense" claim is baseless. War between #Ethiopia & #Eritrea would devastate people & destabilize the entire #HornofAfrica. Eritrea is urging the #UNSC to act now to prevent it.
#Eritrea: Foreign Minister Osman Saleh Sends Letter to the UN Security Council;
10 October 2026
1. In its communications to the UN Security Council yesterday, Ethiopia’s Foreign Ministry has formally informed the UN Security Council that it is “taking measures” to implement the war of aggression that it has declared against Eritrea for three-years now.
2. Ethiopia’s deceitful attempts to rationalize its brazen acts of war against a sovereign UN member State in “self-defense” terms is hollow in substance and constitutes an insult to the intelligence of the international community.
3. Ethiopia’s provocative acts of war and regional destabilization had in fact elicited the UNSG and many UN member States to issue coordinated Statements on the 25thAnniversary of the Algiers Agreement in December last year that underlined the urgency and imperative of respecting Eritrea’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
4. But Ethiopia did not only fail to heed these warnings; it has gone further to incorporate and operationalize its long-planned invasion of Eritrea as part and parcel of the huge offensive it has unleashed in northern Ethiopia.
5. In the event, Eritrea requests the UN Security Council to forcefully condemn Ethiopia’s deplorable declaration of war against Eritrea, which will inculcate huge devastation to the peoples of both countries and destabilize the whole region, and take the requisite deterrent measures against it in accordance with Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

Everyone has a problem with the #ICC. One side is taking a harsh approach: dismantling it. Sanctions, defunding & mass withdrawals can cripple it & ultimately force it to dissolve. But the matters under its purview wouldn’t vanish. They’d need a dedicated replacement court.
#ICL
Today, the Trump Administration is sanctioning the ICC.
This action should encourage our Allies within the Court to work for solutions to end this threat to U.S. sovereignty forever.
The #UN cites “reports” of #Eritrea|n forces in #Ethiopia. Reports aren't evidence. The #ICJ has held press accounts alone don’t prove facts. Before putting such claims in an official statement, the UN owes a reasonable due diligence. Concern without verification is amplification
Secretary-General @antonioguterres is gravely concerned by renewed fighting in the Tigray, Afar & Amhara regions of Ethiopia. He calls on all parties to cease hostilities immediately.

"International law, ripped and ravaged though it may be, is of course on Eritrea’s side."
"The real issue, however, which is plain for everyone to see and repeated in headline after headline, is Ethiopia’s determination to reclaim what Prime Minister Abiy calls its historic right to the Red Sea."
