Why?
Because the 787’s TCMA system — meant to prevent uncommanded thrust — didn’t work properly on some engines.

AAIB’s appeal fails to confirm if cockpit voice data was secured.
Yet foreign media published CVR secrets & crew actions.
Leaked CVR audio = leaked identifiable personal data of the flight crew.
⚖️ Under India’s DPDP Act 2023 (Sec 8(5)), this may be a legal breach.
💰 Penalty: up to ₹250 Cr for failing to prevent a personal data leak.

Breaking @themojostory - another safety critical issue on Boeing 787 flagged in this FAA issued directive on 16th June 2025 ( four days after crash of Air India 171) on leaky faucets and possible impact on electric hardware . The safety directive superseded a 2024 bulletin on same. But of course let’s still act as if all of these bulletins are non issues . Why look at the plane when you can simply blame the pilot as the default explanation
