When knowledge work becomes outsourcable to AI, the only thing you can't outsource is deciding what you believe is true (philosophy). That's what sets you apart.
I wrote about it here: https://t.co/gare5P6rwy
Leave early if you’re flying @AustinAirport today!
Crazy long security lines even at 4:30am…it’s likely due to SXSW, spring break and a TSA staffing shortage.
one exercise I use to test if I truly understand something: keep asking "how do you know that" until I hit the smallest number of things I can actually/authentically be sure of, then rebuild from there.
usually the thinking goes: what does it mean? what has to be true for it to hold? where does it break? what would prove it wrong?
Wow, this was entirely voice-to-text by @WisprFlow. I just tweaked one word. And honestly, it’s an ancient Chinese usage that even many native speakers would probably get wrong.
A friend asked me whether he should get a CFA since he's getting serious about personal investing.
me: "why you need a CFA to get serious?"
he: "I feel like I'm missing context on financial statements."
me: "just pick a public company that interests you, open their 2025 10K and read. When something confuses you, ask AI."
He went to Berkeley for math, picks up new things very fast. So it's not about intelligence.
It's the narrative we tell ourselves: "do A first to prepare for B". It conditioned us to seek permission before diving in.
But now with AI?
The most efficient way to learn is just start doing it somewhere. No permission needed.
A recent realization about creation:
Ideas can be borrowed, but the logic has to be rebuilt on your own. That’s how it becomes yours.
The best way? BUILD it and learn as you go.
Have a pile of skimmed articles, half-watched videos, and bookmarked books we’ll “get to later”?
I built Grasp in @GoogleAIStudio as a weekend project to help form ideas of long-form content in your brain, not just on your screen.
Drop in a link → you'll get: hidden logic map, underlying assumptions, the "so-what".

@raizamrtn Huxe nailed this! I just realized it's almost the first thing I tune into in the morning while getting ready. My daily briefing went from passive consumption to proactive learning now.
Any good resources for writing?
With AI, I thought I’d spend less time on writing.
Instead, I spent more time than ever learning how to write.
Not in a style or impress, but to write in a way that is myself, simple, and, even better, interesting.
Here are the full transcripts from all 320 of my podcast episodes.
It's been super fun for me to play with AI to extract insights from this data. Now you can to.
My only ask is that if you do something cool with it, just let me know.
I'll keep this folder updated with as each new episode comes out.
Have fun.
