youngjae shared his side of the ring story and he said he was deeply touched by the gesture and has worn the swapped ring ever since.

🐶: the story about the birthday gift (the ring) here's what actually happened. it was the day we visited the hyundai event. i think hanjin and i were waiting either in the car or somewhere else after we all had ice cream together. i don't remember the details very clearly.

after that shinyu and jihoon said “since we're here, let's stop by the chrome hearts store for a bit.” while looking at the rings, shinyu suddenly remembered that i wasn't wearing mine. i think he recalled that i had said it was too big because the size had been bought incorrectly. later that day, after we got back to the dorm we had gone to japan and returned the same day shinyu hyung called me over.

he said, “youngjae, come here for a second.” i asked, “why?” then he held up the ring and asked, “this is your ring, right?” i said “yes” thhen he said, “I bought one too, but yours is too big, isn't it? if you're okay with it, do you want to swap with me? i think i can wear this one on any finger, so let's exchange.” i was really grateful, i said, “hyung, thank you really, thank you so much.”

from then on, i kept wearing the ring. i was genuinely touched. i remember thinking, “as expected, our tws leader is the best leader.” i was honestly so surprised and just kept thanking him. shinyu later shared this story himself. (during the cheotsarangz live)

i had actually been intentionally keeping it to myself because i thought shinyu was a little embarrassed about it. i figured i'd tell the story later if we ever did a livestream together or something. i don't remember exactly, but i think shinyu said something like, “it would've been nice if youngjae had been the one to tell the story.” lr at least it was something along those lines. i can't remember his exact words so that's it.

shinyu revealed that the ring he was wearing originally belonged to youngjae but was too big for him to wear. so shinyu bought the same ring in a size that fit him and swapped it with youngjae so he could finally wear his ring.

🦒: heah. when i went to the store, i found the exact same ring as youngjae's. but Youngjae's ring was way too big. kt literally didn't fit any of his fingers, so he couldn't wear it at all. we gave it to him as a birthday present, but because it didn't fit, he just kept it in the box without ever wearing it. seeing that made me think it was such a shame. i kept thinking, 'je'd probably be so happy if he could actually wear it.' before, youngjae had said that this ring fit me. so k just bought another one in the right size and swapped rings with Youngjae.

🦒: in the end, it worked out for the better. for me, it fits any finger anyway because my hands are bigger.

🪼: iremember thinking, 'i'm glad i didn't buy it then.'

🦒: yes.. the ring was actually really expensive, so if it just stayed in the box unused, it would've been heartbreaking, right?
