@ArctiicBear It's super interesting reading about the pros/cons of each system. Glad they are transparent about that cause shows how hard it is to find the perfect solution.
My gut rx is it'll be a bit too much special for top players but glad it seems they are willing to iterate fast
@DStarkand@trevorlane If a player who is in the actual game says they don't know what they are doing. I'm pretty sure that's directly from the horses mouth.
Ham can disagree all he wants but your star player is literally calling out your incompetence.
Overall solid changes.
2 concerns, lack of consistent normal 6v6 mode. Too many modes which may dilute population.
My suggestion:
1) 3v3 Comp
2) 6v6 Contol/Clash
3) Rumble
4) Rotator (party modes, 3v3 qp, etc)

@illPhysics Bungie saw feedback that HC's too prevalent in checkmate and somehow thought 1.3 ttk 140s was the solution. Not even mad, just disappointed. ๐ฎโ๐จ
@DestinyTheGame This is definitely a bad design goal. Bringing other primaries comparable to HC in Checkmate makes sense. Making 140 HC useless vs titans is a terrible pvp design choice.
Checkmate was so positively received and just needed minor tweaks. Highlighted sentence should not be a goal

@Destiny2Team@kildozer666 Uncap the points in comp and allow top players to fight for top 500. Allow some way to display that achievement in game by some cosmetic/title/emblem.
This doesn't affect players who just dabble in comp but gives a top players something to play for even after hitting asc 1
@Destiny2Team Currently as you improve, your reward is longer queues, more lag, face more OP loadouts (antaeus wards, omni in past). Tougher opponents is great esp for comp but there needs to be more in game rewards (can be cosmetic) that is worth chasing.
@Destiny2Team Comp is a place to test your skills against players your rank. There needs to be in game incentive for players to want to climb rank and improve.
There should also be casual modes that are connection based. Improving in PVP sometimes feels more like a punishment than rewarding
