It makes me a bit ill knowing there's people out there working but needing food banks to get by and we're supposed to cheer for this lot being paraded round in gold carriages.
@harleydarlings@force__captain@Dylllllllllann@char1iewatts The conversation isn't about "online education" (also, you are talking to someone who has 2 degrees through online education - YT is not part of it), it is about the social media curfew for 16-17 year olds. Education did exist before YT, that is just a blatant fact.
@harleydarlings@force__captain@Dylllllllllann@char1iewatts I did my GCSEs and A-Levels less than 10 years ago. I can guarentee you not one person in my cohort fully relied on YouTube as a form of revision. How do you think your teachers taught you? Youtube? Get a grip.
@force__captain@Dylllllllllann@char1iewatts You do realise this whole thing isn't to ban 16-17 year olds from YT completely, right? Its a curfew. For someone who is currently receiving a university education you would think you would've grasped that!
@force__captain@Dylllllllllann@char1iewatts Education existed before youtube and will continue to even if youtube didn't exist! The educational basis of society and the pillars of educational institutions were built centuries before youtube. You'll live!
@Dylllllllllann@char1iewatts Then that is up to them who they want to vote for when an election happens and they are actually old enough to vote. Not twats on X.
