@gavinsl I am concerned that any future exchange policy would concentrate too much on academic merit and not the importance of support for disadvantaged students. Am also concerned about implications for vocational training.

@gavinsl "The Deal" doesn't have much to say about non-trade areas, and I would hope that now that is completed there can be a new, separate, focus on aspects such as (H)E and services. I don't see the evidence that UK govt would prefer foreign students not to come.

@gavinsl Thanks Gavin. I hope you're wrong. From my limited understanding it does seem that Erasmus was too costly, and about to become more so. But personally I would hope to see _global_ exchanges continue, perhaps under a more controlled scheme.
