If people like IBD Dende, Efele Ijebu, Abu Abel and other publicly known fraudsters are at the frontline campaigning for Yayi, you should by now know the kind of governor he will be.
We are going back to the dark days unfortunately.
I hope we all know what we are doing.
Big red flag. The man is no longer a nigerian and as such does not have the progress of the country and people of nigeria at heart with his anyhow style of governance.
You are talking about NDA passing out parade, the guy attended only one Independence Day event, in 2024. He ran to Lagos in 2025, and he is visiting Nigeria again today and will land in Lagos, to avoid October 1st in Abuja, again! The guy clearly doesn't believe in Nigeria.
TINUBU IN PARIS: 28 DAYS ABROAD, POTENTIAL ₦336M HOTEL BILL — WHILE NIGERIANS “TIGHTEN THEIR BELTS”
President Bola Tinubu is expected back in Nigeria this weekend after leaving the country on August 30 for his European working vacation. The Presidency confirmed that his return has been extended to the weekend.
In Paris, the President and his delegation have been operating from The Peninsula Paris, one of the French capital’s ultra-luxury hotels.
The hotel currently lists its Grand Premier Suite at about €6,864 a night before taxes and fees rising to about €7,566, or roughly ₦12 million, with charges included.
At that rate, 28 nights would amount to roughly ₦336 MILLION for one suite alone.
If Tinubu returns on Saturday after 27 nights, the equivalent calculation would still be about ₦324 MILLION.
And that is one suite.
But the arithmetic raises an obvious question.
While Nigerians are being asked to endure higher food, transport, electricity and living costs in the name of economic reforms, how much is the government spending on luxury accommodation in Paris?
₦336 million for 28 nights?
The reforms may be “working,” but apparently the hotel meter is working overtime.
Give it to President Tinubu, he saw the Nigeria of today coming yesterday. The only difference is that back then, he was warning us about the driver. Today, he’s the one behind the wheel and Nigerians are the passengers paying for the ride.
TRUMP: America 🇺🇸 will not entertain world leaders with narcotic past. Just like Maduro, the USA will arrest any world leader that engages in drug trafficking. #Tinubu
In May 2001, President Obasanjo was scheduled to make a 3-day working trip to Japan.
He drove to the airport, where it is reported that he waited for roughly three hours.
Why? His Vice-President Atiku was airborne and unable to land because of bad weather. Obasanjo waited until his VP touched down, before he boarded his own flight to Japan.
This was in keeping with Nigerian state protocol and national security convention, that the President and Vice President should never be out of the country at the same time.
Seems like a different era, doesn’t it?
I have watched Yusuf Aliyu’s video repeatedly, and each time, my heart breaks.
A child with such intelligence, clarity and confidence should be in a classroom building his future—not struggling for survival in a community surrounded by gold but buried in poverty.
I cannot look at him and see an “illegal miner.” I see a Nigerian child failed by the country that should have protected him. I see brilliance trapped by poverty and enormous promise abandoned by leadership.
I appeal specifically for his safety. His courage must not expose him or his family to intimidation or retaliation. I am prepared to support his education and ensure that the brilliance we have witnessed is not buried by poverty. Any effort to reach him must be handled responsibly through his family and appropriate child-protection channels.
But this video raises a question that should trouble the conscience of every Nigerian: how can a community sitting upon gold remain so poor that it cannot educate its children? How can its wealth leave the soil while hunger and deprivation remain in its homes?
This is an indictment of the Tinubu administration. The Federal Government controls Nigeria’s mineral resources, yet the communities producing that wealth remain without schools, opportunities or protection.
The contrast is revealing. President Buhari established PAGMI to register, train and integrate artisanal miners into the formal economy, with Niger State included among its intervention states. Tinubu inherited that framework but has met these vulnerable citizens with raids, detention and the label “illegal miners.”
Buhari saw people to formalise. Tinubu sees poor people to criminalise.
This boy is evidence against the Tinubu government. His intelligence exposes the opportunities it has failed to provide. His poverty exposes the injustice of Nigeria’s mining economy. His presence at that site exposes an administration that has left brilliant children without a ladder out of deprivation.
The government must explain what became of PAGMI in Niger State and how 37 Nigerians died in the custody of a federal agency. Calling them “illegal miners” cannot erase their humanity or excuse their deaths.
As a father, a grandfather and a Nigerian, I refuse to look away. I will continue to speak for these children because their lives matter, their dreams matter and their future belongs to Nigeria.
The gold beneath their community should build classrooms and livelihoods, not graves. —AA
