🔍 DIVERSITY IN THE CLASSROOM [Thread] 🔍 In light of recent events, we are educating ourselves on this topic to be the best teachers we can be for our future classes. [1/10]
To anyone who follows @SIMMSPriPE@YourStMarys@TeachStMarys@youmenqt This HAS to be on your list of things to do. In fact, do this for those you teach as it will help you and more importantly, the children in your care!
@teacherbear26 DEAR - Drop Everything And Read. I plan it in for atleast once a week and the kids love it! They choose their own book and keep it in their locker and whenever i shout DEAR or DROP EVERYTHING AND READ they know they have 15/20 minutes to chill out somewhere and read 📚
Seeing @janeconsidine#TheWriteStuffSessions and her ability to reel off so many specific examples of ideas & techniques from texts inspired me! So I've created a document that we can all contribute examples to, to create a collection as a community! Go!😊 https://t.co/vdot5Zq6WS
We're doing our second free Q&A of the Summer holidays for soon-to-be NQTs!
Along with @youmenqt, we'll be joined by guests Rachel and Talwinder. We'll be discussing all things support staff and working with others in the classroom.
