I remember asking assistant coach Mo Cheeks, what’s harder to do? Workout after practice or before?? I only asked cuz by time I would get to the gym, Russ was already done in the morning and I usually got mine in after practice. Mo like, “coming in before practice is probably harder”…since then, it’s been my routine….a lot of people looked at the emotions on the court and thought Russ was loud, nah to me, he was quiet and methodical. He lead by example and once the lights were bright, he let everything out and experienced pure freedom. It was inspiring as his teammate and everywhere I went, I seen it inspire people from all walks of life, crazy thing is, he didn’t say much, he just showed up. For 18 years. This basketball life is sacred to us as professionals, what we put into that court means everything. Some of us wish we could go back and do things with a little more intent and some can just wipe their hands and be satisfied with the time spent. Who u gonna be? We know what zero was on…keep inspiring in the next phase of life champ. I don’t care what happens, can’t erase what it was…The first YNs, finals run in our early 20s, all star games, seeing each other get injured and bounce back, the bus rides, plane rides, card games, jokes and arguments, the whole thing, memorable!! …to the whole Westbrook family, Nina, the kids, mama Westbrook, big Russ, Ray, Donnell, everybody from luezinger high and ucla and many more that I’m forgettin, much love and Congratulations on a iconic career.

THE EASE THAT COMES WITH SEASONS
God can reveal a vision to you, but you must discern when that vision is meant to be fulfilled. Otherwise, you may fight battles in the flesh, struggling endlessly to make things happen. If you’re forcing it, pause and ask: Is this God? and Is this the season?
Seasons carry a measure of ease. Struggle is often a sign you may be out of alignment. Every property we now have in Koinonia, every step of this journey, came by God’s timing; sometimes through visions, dreams, and promptings of the Spirit.
It may not follow human logic, but God’s ways are higher. If you remain flexible, obedient, and willing to follow His unusual leading, your life will be a sign and a wonder.
So, I pray for you: May the grace to step into every prophecy appointed for this season come upon you. May you not miss your time of visitation through carelessness or lack of discernment. Whatever this season demands, receive grace to walk in it fully, in the name of Jesus Christ.

When you’re in the desert, you’re right where God works. God says, “Because you’re My child, because you’ve called on My name, I’m not going to leave you in a dry place. I’m going to make rivers in your desert. I’m going to create streams in your barren place.”
I think one of the most valuable prayers is when you don't feel like it or when you are battling to do it. Or when your mind is as confused as Job but you go on talking to God. Because anytime you want to pray he is seriously determined to stop you. So when you break through, it's powerful.
Just pray, talk to the Father.
It can be as simple as "Father, daddy, thank You for today, thank You for making me your child. As You are in heaven may your name be praised. Establish your purpose according to Your time.
Father, please take care of me and my needs today. Set my heart right with You and help me conquer evil. Forgive me when I slip and keep my feet in You.
Father, protect me from the evil one.
Continue to reign forever and ever Amen".
Grateful for this amazing opportunity. Basketball means everything to me, and no matter where I play the game, I’ll do so with the same joy, passion and goal - to win championships.
