On this tweet, over 50% of the comments on are hate comments, shitting on me for the pricing being too low.

Of those comments, 0% were made by actual artists or people that do commissions.

Let’s just address a few things;

For those telling me that I should’ve done an art contest with a prize pool instead of commissioning, I could’ve.

But then instead of paying every person who creates art for me a fair amount (in exposure + $), I’d end up only overpaying 3 people and giving potentially hundreds more absolutely nothing for their time.

For those telling me that I should’ve just used google images instead of hiring real artists for this job if I’m going to “underpay them”, go fuck yourself.

I’m willing to put upwards of 700$-1000$ in the art scene to support up and coming artists at a time where they are the most threatened due to AI.

Instead of being a performative influencer that just says “fuck ai!”, farms a few likes, then hops onto the next trend I’m actually trying to HELP a scene that I see is headed towards a dark path,

And what do I get for it?

People that sit here, deny my help, and post hate comments who are not even a part of the community I’m trying to uplift.

So now, I’m going to talk directly to them.

To all you failed, worthless armchair analysts that obsess over fighting the battles of communities of people who you don’t even belong to, it would be wise to, in the future, shut your disgusting mouths.

Just because you’re miserable that you’ve never managed to make it in any of your endeavors doesn’t mean that others shouldn’t be given the chance to try succeeding at their own.

Any rational thinkers understand that in a scene where the amount of money you make is directly tied to the amount of people interested in the product/service you provide; exposure and recognition on a wider scale is the foundation for success.

If you don’t realize that, then that’s fine,

But the real artists do.

And so does everyone else who’s ever made it as a self-employed entity.

I wouldn’t even be mad if not for the reason that every single one of these hate-commenters is merely contributing to the downfall of a community that they pretend to care about.

The amount of people encouraging me to create AI art because the ‘art community is so insufferable’ when the insufferable ones aren’t even the artists themselves is horrifying.

Since posting the tweet, I’ve already reached out privately to over 10 artists, all of whom have been grateful and thankful to be presented with this opportunity.

After posting this one, I intend to reach out to even more.

To all those who have shown support in the comments, as well as all those who have shown interest in creating artwork for me; thank you.

This was never supposed to be a debate;

It was supposed to be a celebration of art.

As such, I implore everyone that would type up responses arguing with those that disagree with my initiative to instead spend their time interacting with the real artists that comment their artwork under any of these tweets.
