@onreeeeeee@ArsenalRefWatch@DarrenArsenal1 I wasn't one of those people.
Atalanta went to zero last season with a 1,304 allocation despite having never played them before - admittedly a league stage game.
People have short memories and overestimate the demand for European aways.
@onreeeeeee@ArsenalRefWatch@DarrenArsenal1 PSV had minimal collections last season with 1,635 away end and went to zero.
That's not to say Leverkusen full collection had zero impact, but there's other (bigger) factors in play.
@ArsenalRefWatch@DarrenArsenal1 Full collection a red herring. Much bigger allocation for Atletico, more expensive to get to than Paris (unless booked quickly), 'only' the first leg, many went Madrid last year and general fan feeling leading into the game isn't as positive
@CaptStubble@DarrenArsenal1 Absolutely. A full collection versus a partial collection makes minimal difference though. These games would drop low regardless.
@DarrenArsenal1@CaptStubble More CL games went to zero credits last season than this season. Allocation size and turnaround time more important than 100% collections.
@AngusMoorat@Arsenal_Morris @AFCFixtureNews How many tickets do you think would be touted if they were all emailed out having sold out at zero credits?
@AngusMoorat@Arsenal_Morris @AFCFixtureNews Is touting really a problem for a game like this? And more importantly, a big enough problem to inconvenience the majority spending their time and money traveling out there. My guess is 99.9% would say not
@AngusMoorat@Arsenal_Morris @AFCFixtureNews Clearly you're staying in Cologne so don't care, but many will be flying into Düsseldorf with zero intention of going to Cologne. It went to zero credits, just sack the collections off and email everyone their ticket.
@jpscruffs @LeeBeeSW If the cup final policy announced at the start of the season stated home attendance counted towards the final then any STH with sense would have bought them all (reducing silver/red opportunities at the same time)
