5. As with most things in life, you have to trade in a way that plays to your strengths.
For example, I may not be the best technical analyst, the best fundamental analyst, the best news trader, etc., but I’m great at blending those disciplines into a swing and position trading style that works for me.
With small caps breaking out, it's prudent to be prepared for the next group of story stocks to take off.
Crypto and AI are obvious themes. But they're not exactly new. We all know the major players at this point.
I'm thinking of the next crop of "story stocks" that could go nuts on a single news headline.
Below is what I have so far. Let me know if I'm missing any names/exciting themes.

Dan Loeb's Third Point releases its Q3 Investor Letter.
Top Q3 Winners: $PCG, $VST, $KBH, $DHR
-Sees slowing inflation, no recession.
-Believes chances of a Republication victory have increased, which is a plus for the market.
-Believes the environment is good for event-driven investing.
"In the economy, we see no evidence of recession, slowing inflation, and a real interest rate that still needs to come down. We believe healthy consumer spending and active levels of individual investing should provide a liquidity backdrop to sustain market levels."
"For most of the nearly thirty years I have run Third Point, the market has been inexorably climbing a wall of worry."
"Considering political developments over the past few weeks, we believe that the likelihood of a Republican victory in the White House has increased, which would have a positive impact on certain sectors and the market overall. We believe the proposed “America First” policy’s tariffs will increase domestic manufacturing, infrastructure spending, and prices of certain materials and commodities."
$LOAR nice looking recent IPO.
$7B aerospace name.
"...specializes in the design, manufacturing, and sale of niche aerospace and defense components used in aircrafts, aerospace , and defense systems."
Profitable. Strong EPS growth. 207% yoy

Huge level for $TSLA.
I personally think it holds because...
1) We're in a bull market. And stocks do bullish things in bull markets.
2) TSLA ran up into the Robotaxi event. We had a classic "sell the news" reaction because the event was so hyped up/anticipated. It also didn't offer any near term catalysts. That said, the event made me (and me other people) even more bullish on Tesla's long-term prospect.
3) TSLA sold off one day. There wasn't any follow though to downside, and we didn't hit oversold conditions. TSLA has basically been building a little base for the past four sessions. It could just be a higher low for the weekly chart.
We'll find out soon enough...
$WULF
There’s a reason Druckenmiller took a stake in this crypto miner.
Nuclear/Crypto.
Terawulf owned “100% nuclear-powered bitcoin mining facility is the first of its kind and is expected to be amongst the largest, most efficient bitcoin mines in North America.”
Beauty.
Oddity $ODD is one to watch.
Small cap AI play. $2.3B market cap. Utilizing AI for the beauty industry (huge market). Entering other markets like "Ai-based molecule discovery."
Good fundamentals: 72% gross margins. 15% net margins. Already profitable. 31% yoy sales growth, 66% yoy EPS growth.
Retail friendly: Good ticker, cool website that features every buzz word imaginable (machine learning, computer vision, etc.)
New merchandise. Hasn't had a proper run yet. Daily chart still choppy. Hasn't displayed "raw power yet." But weekly shaping up nicely. And $IWM breaking out should be a powerful tailwind.
Short interest: 26%. Squeeze potential. 🍋
