The Left didn't care about Graham Platner having a Nazi tattoo and ignored and downplayed it.

The Left didn't care about Graham Platner supporting Hamas terrorists and having similar views, and in fact supported such things.

The Left didn't care about Graham Platner's Reddit posts that were racist, homophobic, anti police, pro armed revolution, anti women, and in support of rape/sexual assault, and excused and downplayed it.

The Left didn't care about numerous women - including Graham Platner's wife - coming forward about him sexting with multiple different women while being married.

The Left didn't care about Graham Platner's numerous ex girlfriends who came forward alleging demeaning, intimidating, and physically threatening behavior from him towards them.

Now that there are legitimate sexual assault allegations against him they're suddenly rescinding their support for him?!

Make no mistake.
The Left is perfectly fine with, and even supports a lot of these things.
They supported Platner as long as they thought they could get away with it without looking too bad.
The only reason that they're backing out now is because they feel that the winds are turning against him and they in turn may look bad for continuing to support such a person.
