My cousin sister got married to a Telugu Brahmin family. We had initially planned to perform a few rituals in our own traditional way after the groom's side completed theirs.

But we were so impressed and overwhelmed by their customs that we simply continued following their traditions..

Honestly, I was amazed. It wasn't that they were doing something different or unique, in many ways, these are the original Hindu traditions that have been preserved with remarkable dedication. Somehow, they managed to safeguard and pass them down through generations, while in much of North India, centuries of Islamic influence altered or replaced many traditional practices to a considerable extent...

It was fascinating to witness how deeply rooted and authentically preserved their customs still are...

When I say I am against reservation, that doesn't mean I am against the concept of reservation itself. Rather, I believe the way it has been implemented in our country is problematic.

Take this example, this Sejal girl got an MBBS seat with 406 marks through the ST category. Just to put that into perspective, some students don't get an MBBS seat even after scoring 600+ marks. I myself had to take a drop year after scoring 600.

Now look at the lifestyle she follows. I find it hard to believe that she lacked resources or opportunities during her school years.

On the other hand, the people for whom this reservation was originally intended, the genuinely underprivileged tribal communities, often don't even know what NEET-UG is, let alone have the awareness, or resources needed to pursue an MBBS degree. The person who should ideally benefit from this reservation is often nowhere in the picture, while privileged individuals continue to take advantage of a system that was created to uplift the underprivileged.

I don't understand how this system, in its current form, is supposed to reduce social inequality. While there are certainly cases where genuinely deserving individuals benefit from reservation, but in majority instances the reality appears very different.

Pawar is from the lineage of Rajput, No state of India Consider them ST then how she got a ST certificate ?

There is definitely a use of fake certificates to get admission in medical colleges with lower marks and it should be investigated.

Her degree must be cancelled If she has done any fraud in the caste certificate.

A boy shared an incident from Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra that has sparked debate online.

He had gone to the station to help his family board a train scheduled to leave at 12 PM. Later, the train was delayed and he was informed it would arrive at 2 PM.

After buying a platform ticket, he waited at the station with his family. However, the train kept getting delayed for several more hours. Finally, around 5 PM, he helped his family get on the train and was about to leave.

That's when a TTI stopped him and asked for his platform ticket. After checking it, the TTI said the ticket was valid for only 2 hours and imposed a fine of ₹500.

The boy questioned why he was being penalized when the delay was caused by the railway itself. He argued that he had purchased a valid platform ticket to see off his family and stayed only because the train was repeatedly delayed.

The incident has raised an important question:

If passengers are forced to wait because of a train delay, should they be fined for exceeding the time limit of a platform ticket?
