Sometimes recovery looks like mutual-aid (like AA or NA), sometimes it looks like yoga & meditation, other times it looks like medication, or harm reduction. The #recoverymovement is for everyone, from all pathways and all walks of life. We should embrace inclusivity.
Although we are in the midst of an opioid epidemic there is also another epidemic our nation is facing.... and that is a Recovery epidemic! #WeDoRecover
I love being a social worker, and think we play a critical role in addressing substance use...however, when our national body misses one critical piece of the picture (RECOVERY), it makes me weary. @NASWNews to talk about OUD, but not mention recovery is not a good look
