Today, HR/VP @kajakallas met with the Lithuanian Prime Minister, @mindaugassink, in Vilnius ahead of Lithuania’s EU Council Presidency in 2027.

Discussions focused on Russia’s increasing hybrid attacks as well as the security situation at Lithuania’s border with Belarus. They also discussed continued EU support to Ukraine, including air defence, and sanctions against Russia.

Hoy, desde Quetzaltenango, junto a la Embajada de Canadá en Guatemala 🇨🇦, dimos inicio a una nueva fase de Empoderando Mujeres y Niñas, que llegará a aproximadamente 1,300 mujeres y niñas en cinco municipios de Guatemala.

La iniciativa acompañará a mujeres y niñas para fortalecer sus capacidades, bienestar, liderazgo y autonomía económica, promoviendo entornos más seguros y nuevas oportunidades para avanzar hacia sus propios proyectos de vida.

Además, presentamos el Fondo de Desarrollo Empresarial para Mujeres (EDF Mujeres), una apuesta para fortalecer empresas lideradas por mujeres en Quetzaltenango y contribuir al desarrollo económico local.

Esta nueva etapa se construye junto a las mujeres, sus comunidades, autoridades y organizaciones locales, escuchando sus necesidades y aspiraciones.
