A young woman was trying to be “gangster” & disrespect her “dead opp” online & her mother heard about it & made her apologize 😳 “you’re not gangster say you’re sorry to that boy & his family right now!” Is this justified or a little too much? 📷👀
The Jaquan Brisker convo feels a lot like the Justin Fields situation for me.
I knew Caleb was the better QB prospect. The tape, the ceiling, the reset — all of it made sense. But I liked Justin Fields as a person and a leader, and I didn’t want to see him go.
That’s exactly where I’m at with Brisker. I fw him heavy. Tone-setter, plays with edge, brings real energy. When he’s on, he’s ON (that Rams game).
And if the Bears re-sign him, I already know what I’ll do — I’ll convince myself he fixes the coverage issues, cleans up the tackling, and puts it all together over the offseason.
But the inconsistency is real. He’s a slower DB, a liability in coverage at times, has concentration lapses, and even his tackling — supposed to be his best trait — has been shaky (that Golden TD was a generational whiff).
Add in the concussion history, and it’s hard to ignore that he’s looked like a shell of himself compared to earlier in his career. That stuff matters, whether we want it to or not.
Truth is, this is a business. This is a deep DB draft, and finding a much cheaper replacement without locking into a risky contract isn’t that hard.
Emotions want him back. Logic says this might be another tough goodbye.
