Great piece otherwise, even though I’m not sure I agree. I find AI to be extremely helpful as an editor. I’ll write a piece and then work with AI to do heavy editing. I’ll spend two hours writing a 900 word essay and then spend another 5/6 hours with AI editing and workshopping it. It’s exactly what I’d do with a human editor, except that it doesn’t cost a fortune :) (BTW, the anecdote about the apology email which wasn’t sent was hilarious. I already repeated it to several people.)
