@DesertSonNawdar ~ The fox suddenly raised his head and stared into the trees. She nocked her bow and followed his gaze but heard nothing. Casting a quick glance to the treetops, she awaited the return of her companion.*
@DesertSonNawdar ~ As he disappeared from sight she pondered the question he had left her with. She knew what dwarves were known for amongst elves and hobbits, but her traveling partner was from leagues away.~
@DesertSonNawdar *she watched him nimbly leap up the lower branches, amazed at his dexterity and willingness to climb the towering tree when she (and most dwarves she knew) were scared of heights.~
@DesertSonNawdar ~and looked up at the canopy- impossibly high.* I think that is a task definitely better suited to you! *she grinned at her companion* dwarves are not known for their climbing ability!
@DesertSonNawdar *watching the fox retreat to the tree line, she began to collect their belongings that were strewn about the clearing after helping the animal. At the mention of climbing the tree, she also stood~
@DesertSonNawdar ~noticing the fox still watching them from a safe distance*. I do not have much left in the way of food. I suppose we must set about finding some if we are to continue on our journey?
@DesertSonNawdar ~Watching as he tied the makeshift bandage around the fox’s leg, she smiled to see the animal retreat slightly from them now it had been seen to* well, I suppose that is our good deed for the day *she chuckled and placed another log on the fire, ~
@DesertSonNawdar *she watched with admiration at his swift and deft ability in administering aid to the animal. At his glance she ripped a strip of fabric off of her tunic and passed it to him, careful not to make any sudden moves that might scare the animal. ~
@DesertSonNawdar ~ I am ready when you are *she spoke quietly to the animal and carefully retrieved more food from her pocket in order to distract the fox as the man set about assessing the wound*
@DesertSonNawdar *she chuckled quietly* indeed I do not like the idea of having to treat more than this injury! *the fox, while still wary seemed to be at ease and Yswllyra continued to stoke his back and ears*~
@DesertSonNawdar ~I think I can hold it so you can treat the leg. *she whispered as she continued to stroke the fox’s back gently, murmuring quiet reassurance to the animal*
@DesertSonNawdar *as the fox moved closer to the fire, Yswllyra lent forward and gently ran her hand across its back. It tensed and turned its head to look at her, but did not move away* ~
