@cpaDavidOnyango@CalvinMose11@FGaitho237 Onyango, be specific kidogo ndio itusaidie hata sisi. Who are the organisers and sponsors? Who has paid Bayern the millions they confirmed they couldn't resist? Wewe ni CPA, right?
If Hon. Kalonzo is wise, the thing to do is just retract and clarify that his comments were not in any way meant to demean Sifuna or his candidature. That is the only way to control the damage he brought on himself. He must look at the bigger picture, realizing that Sifuna’s supporters, though passionate about their candidate are not his enemies!
If Kalonzo is somehow chosen as the presidential flag bearer, he will need these very people. Kalonzo’s bloggers should stop trying to justify his remarks or paint him as a victim. He should own up, retract and call for opposition unity. And I repeat, if he is somehow picked as the united flag bearer, he will need Sifuna’s supporters more than they need him.
A lot of people hear “1 billion ah ok” and don’t understand HOW MUCH that is.
[ACTION ASK below]
🇰🇪 KSh 1 BILLION for a football friendly could fund:
💰 500,000 cash payments of KSh 2,000 to vulnerable Kenyans
🏥 One year of stipends for 16,666 community health promoters
Meanwhile, 39.8% of Kenyans live in poverty- over 20 MILLION people.
Nurses and teachers are fighting for better pay, yet Kenya is reportedly considering spending up to KSh 1 BILLION on Bayern Munich vs Ajax.
Who benefits more: struggling Kenyan families or a 90-minute football spectacle?
Kenya 🇰🇪 Today two more accounts who can be addressed for impact.
One is a journalist with close ties to Bayern: @mano_bonke & the other @iMiaSanMia shares the amount the corrupt government cartel pays for sports washing their image to @FCBayern@FCBayernEN@FCBayernDE

TO THE GERMAN EMBASSY, THE NETHERLANDS EMBASSY, @FCBayern , @AFCAjax, @FIFAcom, @UEFA, @CAF_Online, @WilliamsRuto and @moyasa_ke:
KENYA IS NOT A PUBLICITY STUNT. OUR LIVES ARE NOT A PR CAMPAIGN. AND OUR SILENCE IS NOT FOR SALE.
@GermanyinKenya@Diplo_Jazz@NLinKenya@HenkJanBakker3 Let us address you directly.
On January 5, Bayern Munich and Ajax are expected to headline the opening of Kenya's new national stadium. Politicians are celebrating. Football brands are getting publicity. But ordinary Kenyans have questions that deserve more than diplomatic silence and glossy photographs.
WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS EVENT ORGANIZER?
Have your governments, embassies or any associated institutions provided financial, diplomatic or logistical support for this match? Have you facilitated any arrangements? If so, what are the details? If not, say so clearly.
What due diligence have you conducted on the source of funding, the organisers and the human-rights record of the institutions involved?
Kenyans continue to demand accountability over abductions, alleged extrajudicial killings, police brutality and corruption. Families want answers. Citizens want justice. Yet we are being asked to celebrate an international football spectacle while these questions remain painfully urgent.
WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON THESE CONCERNS?
Do you consider human rights and accountability relevant only when convenient, or do these principles apply even when your institutions and commercial partners engage with politically powerful governments?
Are your embassies participating in corruption or human-rights abuses in Kenya. We are demanding transparency about your involvement, if any, and a clear public position on the concerns Kenyans are raising.
To @FCBayern and @AFCAjax: What is the full financial arrangement behind your participation? Who is paying your fees and associated costs? Is any Kenyan public money involved, directly or indirectly? What independent human-rights checks have you undertaken? What tangible benefits will reach Kenyan clubs, players and grassroots football?
To @FIFAcom, @UEFA and @CAF_Online: What accountability standards should apply when international football events are organised amid serious public concerns about human rights and the use of public resources? Will you support transparency and meaningful investment in Kenyan football beyond one high-profile match political campaign strategy match?
@moyasa_ke: Publish the event's funding arrangements, the respective contributions of public and private sponsors, the contractual obligations and the measurable benefits to Kenyans. Explain why local football clubs cannot receive comparable visibility and sustainable support.
🇩🇪 @GermanyDiplo 🇳🇱 @DutchMFA: How much money linked to corruption in Kenya has been identified, frozen, recovered or investigated in Germany and the Netherlands, respectively, and how many credible requests for assistance involving suspected assets held by Kenyan public officials remain unresolved in your respective Countrie? Kenyan citizens deserve facts, figures and transparency your not diplomatic silence.
We also need to know how this event serves Kenyans facing rising living costs, fuel-price pressures, strained healthcare and education, and unresolved concerns about missing citizens and state accountability.
LET US BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR: WE ARE NOT AGAINST FOOTBALL. WE ARE AGAINST IMPUNITY, SECRECY AND THE POLITICAL EXPLOITATION OF SPORT.
Kenyan football has its own clubs, players, coaches and supporters. They deserve investment, not selfies with international clubs to receive the spotlight.
To the ambassadors: your silence will automatically be interpreted as complicity. Diplomacy cannot become an excuse to avoid legitimate questions. Come out publicly and clarify your governments' involvement, in our corruption and your position on human rights violation in Kenya. @BBCAfrica@BBCWorld@hnnsbnd
#KenyaDeservesAnswers #KenyanFootball
Dear @FCBayern & @AFCAjax: It won’t work. Kenyans are furious with this rogue regime. Our healthcare is collapsing, local clubs are starved, and Harambee Stars beg for allowances.
We will not stay silent while taxpayer money is wasted on your PR stunts. Stay away.
@MrJamesKe Spending 700m to bring people to play for 90mins to get 90 votes🤣🤣🤣 i love this government. From top to bottom hawa ni watu wa C for snake, G for jupiter🤣🤣🤣. When Ruto hits his head it echoes.
The ongoing troubles in ODM provide for a good backdrop to discuss that matter we were supposed to respond to last week; the fake narrative of "sidelining of Luos within Linda Mwananchi".
The narrative has three faces;
1. The inability of many Luo leaders to acknowledge that they too can belong to a party led by someone who is not from their community. The Luo and the Kikuyu share the dubious distinction of always being restless in a party not led by one of their own. After Jaramogi died, Wamalwa Kijana took the reigns of Ford Kenya in 1994, but the Luo were gone by the very next election in 1997.
They stayed in NDP until it was folded in a merger with Kanu in 2000. They then stayed in New Kanu only until 2002, when they staged a mass walkout into NARC. But in NARC, the honeymoon lasted only a few months before they identified as LDP and shortly, ODM. The community then remained peaceful in ODM for two decades, as long as Raila was boss.
After Raila's death, Luo leadership has failed to acknowledge that many many communities followed Raila unconditionally for those twenty years, and these communities too expect that when the baton is passed on after Raila's death, Luo leaders will also line up behind other people. But now, many of these leaders would rather move around with envelope parties rather than join big parties led by others.
2. The vicious anti-Kikuyu politics now practiced by characters in the broad-based framework. The statement "Luos are sidelined in Linda Mwananchi" is not actually complete. Its complete form has many variations, including "in preference to Kikuyu girls" or "in preference to Rigathi Gachagua".
This part of the narrative, for months, was run in Luo Nyanza to paint Sifuna as a Kikuyu lover and therefore "not good for Luos". Elements loyal to some Luo leaders and to the broad-based framework were carefully placed in positions where they would remain purveyors of the "anything but Gachagua" message, and raise false alarms whenever Linda Mwanachi appeared to bridge the manufactured gap with the mountain.
Then that Berlin Wall constructed by Ruto and his broad-based partners was demolished on Mashujaa Day when Sifuna popped up at Wamunyoro. Those who had been singing that if he met Gachagua, he would have crossed the red line, were left with the option of doing their worst. But it turned out they had no worst to do. That narrative has now drowned in its own urine.
3. But if you are looking for the real sidelining and marginalisation of Luos, look no further than the UDA-ODM partnership. It is those ones who have publicly said that there is no Luo alive today who is fit enough to be President. It is they who have also surrendered the DP role. In their thinking, the highest seat a Luo will settle for is either county Governor or Senator. The party leader will run for Senate. The party chair will run for Governor. And they are crying for written guarantees and zoning to even survive those contests.
By reducing Raila's party to a tribal operation oscillating between Luanda Kotieno and Wath Ong'er, no one has sidelined the Luo community more than the people who took up ODM leadership after Raila. They practically removed the community from the national high table where Raila left it, to a tiny stool perched beside the Olare-Rangwe Road, where Ruto can deliver crumbs once in a while, as his fake wisdom is cheered by a panga-wielding Abdi Sebo.
There is no way any community, least of all the Luo, can be sidelined in Linda Mwananchi, because no one joined the movement by tribe. Neither is there a tribal register where marginalisation can be dished out by surname. Those who cite this narrative neatly fall into one of these three categories.
Which is why that story of Luos being sidelined in LMM must be returned to sender in a sealed yellow envelope.
Y'all think Bayern and Ajax just decided to launch Talanta stadium on their own?
Kenyan govt is going to pay to host them, using Kenyan tax payer money. From air ticket, hotel rooms, local transfers, food etc. All this at the expense of Kenyan tax payers. Shameful govt.
@MiNamazzi@calvinokello4 Achana na hawa Omena Affordable Bloggers. Very shameless bale of Luos. They know Ruto don't honour agreements, but here they are demanding one from the known Conman.
