@heero_time@flameosumeet I’m glad refs don’t fuck about in any of our big 4 games. That’s right, the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL never have ref issues
Grow up bro
@josh_clark100@Polymarket Cause we just have money to cover the costs tbh. A private company has to make its money from the customers, one owned by the government basically has unlimited money. Thats not to say theyll blow it all, it’s that budget constraints aren’t the same, it can be more people focused
@josh_clark100@Polymarket The amount of money they “take” from your taxes doesn’t come close to the stuff they waste money on that is no use to you. Does a bomb we buy from Lockheed and then sell to either side of a war truly benefiting you in your life? Idk, I would rather they spend it on us
@TheFandomCritic@TheOtherFrost Because I’m the one with the money that the game developer wants. They want me to buy the game. I, as the person with money, would enjoy knowing how a game is made, and I’m allowed to make my own opinion about those tools
@josh_clark100@Polymarket I feel like comparing a nationalized airline to public transit is missing the point entirely. The airlines already have the infrastructure and everything set up, the only thing that would change would be the company behind it, and possibly the rules that they follow.
@elemeno_pb@Polymarket Of airlines, yes. If they don’t make money, but we use them for travel, let’s subsidize them, make them affordable, and more people who couldn’t travel before can travel, and then can spend their money, stimulating the economy
@davideramon@Claudia_4456 That’s so sad bro, it’s not dead, there’s an entire continent that you haven’t seen, and you think of it as old and dead. 600 million living lives comparable to us, but it’s dead.
I pray you’re a bot, or a kid, because the world is so much bigger than North America
@JeffMJohns1@LeighBrown@therealDeFlock Would you say the buyer is more required to look for flock cameras in advance, or better disclosure by the HOA? Because regardless, it’s a privacy issue even if allowed in public
@WasteOfATP@kylamb8 You sound boring as FUCK pitch sounds way better especially when they actually require grass and not whatever the fuck is in most NFL stadiums
Remember when Musk challenged the World Food Program to explain how he could solve world hunger with just $6 billion, they did, and he just completely ignored them?
@denham_adrian@Gottalovechaze The pay floor is there for the sake of making employers more competitive, which we can see in a lot of low paying industries like service or retail, they just aren’t. Those are usually people’s entrance into the work force and they’re effectively trapped by uncompetitive wages
@cascadiaanarchy See, now you’re back in the culture war cage. This isn’t meant to be a solution or anything, and you recognizing the cage we’re all in lets you know who the enemies are, and that reactionary conservativism is apart of that class fight
@LtNOWIS@RealLiamR1 Yeah, it ignores the fact that in 2004, we perpetuated a society that rewarded that type of behavior because of 9/11 and then the war in Iraq
@suzukisapers@timsoret This devoles into thinking those who are on your side are against you. Don’t attribute malice to what can be attributed to ignorance.
Someone like Jeff Bezos is always going to be a dishonorable man, but the homeless guy who’s cracked out of his head is just not the same
@peterjhasson I’m glad we all are puritans, and care of morals and virtue now. It’s not like politicians have been this way our entire lives. But now we care when their rhetoric is more left wing than allowed, we make sure to ignore everything we’ve tolerated before
I'm finally reading Dune. This quote, which is in the first few pages, hits hard:
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
