But seriously let me know if it helped anyone to understand better Expected Goals thing.

Make no mistake, there is a concerted international campaign to do away with the world’s only, tiny Jewish country. Israel is currently fighting for its life, surrounded on all sides by an ideologically singular enemy whose only goal is to destroy it.
The strategy of a small number of intensely focused international Right-wing, Left-wing and Islamo-fascists, united in their hatred of Jews, is a simple one: delegitimise the very existence of Israel while mobilising the concocted fury of hordes of useful idiots across the world with the goal of rendering Israel unable to defend itself.
For all the Hezbollah and Houthi flags waved on western campuses, the enemy which surrounds Israel is emphatically not *our* friend. The Iranian regime is about as close as you’ll find to a fascist dictatorship in the world today. Ask yourself, would you rather be gay, or a single mother, or a teenage girl or a Christian or a socialist in democratic, pluralistic Israel, or in *any* of the countries which surround it?
There are 150+ Christian countries in the world and 50+ Muslim ones, nearly all of which were created by armed actual colonialists drawing arbitrary lines on maps of other people’s land. Quite a few of these were created more recently than the world’s only Jewish state, which was voted into existence by the nations of the world at the UN in 1948. Why is it that people call for the dismantling just one of these countries? Why just that one? It’s fishy, you’ve got to admit, especially when you consider this has been a decades long campaign against Israel.
The Jews make up just 0.2% of the world’s population, and yet they are relentlessly fixated upon, blamed for pretty much everything, and periodically smashed up for one reason or another. Thank goodness they do now have their own tiny country, in their own ancestral homeland, so they don’t have to be reliant on others for their safety. And thank goodness they have the strength, the unity and the conviction to protect themselves in a difficult neighbourhood.
The most stable of the Arab countries know all of this; Jordan, Morocco, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, which is why you don’t really hear a peep from those. They know about the tunnels, the gun-batteries, the theft of international aid, the abuse of the Palestinian population by Iran-backed Hamas. They know what Israel needs to do.
Decent anti-imperialists everywhere ought to yearn for all minorities crushed by imperialist ideologies to attain self-determination (or at least equality under the law), Kurds, Middle East Christians, Chechens, Tartars, Tibetans, East Timorese, Yazidis, the list goes on and on. Maybe Israel attracts so much attention because the Jews have for so long refused to yield. They know what would happen to them if they were a minority in that land.
Israel is the greatest story of decolonisation ever told. And now is the time to say it loud and proud. 🇮🇱
@PharmaMag1 @GarretHohl Jets are one of if not the slowest team in the playoffs. We can talk about standings all day long the fact is that they can't keep up with quickness of the opponent and if you remove goaltending the ranking will show where Jets belong. They are team 14-17 or so.
