Running Codex on Bedrock with GPT-5.6 Sol right now is expensive for a boring reason: no explicit prompt cache controls.
One team saw 172M cache-write tokens in 4 days 85% of their model spend with almost no cache hits.
The session key is there, but the actual cache options aren’t being sent. On agentic workloads that gets costly fast.
This needs to be fixed before more people scale Sol on Bedrock.

To the anonymous sender: Welcome to DevOps! My biggest piece of advice is to not rush into complex tools right away. Master the absolute fundamentals first: Linux administration, basic networking, and a programming language like Go or Python. Once those are solid, getting hands-on with AWS or GCP becomes much easier. Focus on building real projects over just collecting certificates.
