As a Palestinian living in the US, I realized from day one that far too many of those who claim to be “fighting for Palestinian freedom” in the West are nothing than grifters who exploit our suffering, turn our cause into a trend, and use Palestinian pain to build their own platforms, careers, and audiences.
And the moment Palestinians themselves challenge their narrative, criticize Hamas, reject authoritarianism, or refuse to fit neatly into their ideological worldview, suddenly our Palestinian voices are no longer welcome—or worse, we are smeared as traitors for daring to think and speak for ourselves.
Here’s what’s never been asked, seriously, inside this so-called “pro-Palestinian” movement: what do you actually stand for?
A democratic Palestine? Free speech? Political pluralism? Equal rights? A two-state solution, one state, peace — or just permanent war rebranded as “resistance”?
Do Palestinian lives matter when Palestinians are murdered, tortured, imprisoned, or silenced by Hamas? Do our freedoms matter when the oppressor isn’t Israel? Do Palestinians get to decide our own political future, or are Western activists going to decide it for us while shouting slogans thousands of miles away?
Palestine is not your revolutionary cosplay. Palestinians are not props for your ideological fantasies. And our suffering is not a career opportunity.
If your “solidarity” requires Palestinians to shut up whenever our experiences contradict your politics and narrative, then you are the one who should shut the fuck up.

Mind blown from a new model I just got access to. I think this will be one of the most (the most?) significant drops this year. Excited. And sorry to be annoyingly vague. Just excited.
Sam Altman admits he was wrong on AI's timeline and says society and the economy will adapt more slowly
"I thought when we got to GPT-4, which was back in 2023, that very quickly after that there was going to be much more disruption, software businesses up for grabs right away, than it turned out to be."
"I think I was wrong about a few things, but one in terms of the speed: the economy just has so much inertia."
"People keep doing the same things, buying from the same company, wanting to use their tools the same way. I think this is actually a positive in many ways, and it's going to make this big transition go smoother and slower. I'm grateful for it."
"But it means we've all been too ambitious on timelines. Even with this incredible technology, society and the economy will adapt more slowly."
