Thread on the physical appearance of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. This may be long.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Qatada رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ says, "Allah has never sent a prophet except that, that prophet had a beautiful face and a beautiful voice."

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@Work1193529 @maerdtoof Islam & mysticism aren't mutually exclusive. He explicitly and clearly affirmed Islamic doctrine, such as monotheism, prophethood for both Jesus and Muhammad ﷺ, etc. Unclear and "mystical" statements should be interpreted according to what he explicitly affirmed, not vice versa.

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@Work1193529 @maerdtoof Proclaiming the oneness of God and writing that Muhammad ﷺ is the best of creation is more than just "having respect for Islamic poetry."

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@FaisalH_UK The problem in such a scenario seems to be more related to the intention of the listener than to the intention of the reciter or the recitation itself

@maerdtoof May God have mercy on the master Goethe (if he died upon Islam as I believe he did)

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

Wise man once said, "If one day my words clash with those of science, then listen to my words. If one day my words happen to not clash with those of science, then find someone whose words clash with those of science, and follow them."

@miawliki Replies show why the gates of ilm perhaps should have been kept behind some preliminary barriers. The internet ruined everything

@maerdtoof Whoever wrote this dialogue has a better understanding of philosophy of mind than the vast majority of today's philosophers

Establish prayer at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night, and [recite] the Quran at dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed.

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

Made me chuckle

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@maerdtoof Lowk gotta include Islam and the Destiny of Man on here

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@LukazMenoGuz @guesswhatever11 @House_Fugger @maerdtoof @dioxidelic Because people often lack a strong level of reading comprehension and look for every chance to express disagreement, start arguing, etc., so they always assume the worst and sometimes even intentionally misinterpret what is being said.

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@guesswhatever11 @House_Fugger @LukazMenoGuz @maerdtoof @dioxidelic You guys do realize that when people say "he probably did his best" they're talking about the father, right? As in, "the father probably did his best to raise the child"

No one is defending the degenerate criminal.

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@dioxidelic @LukazMenoGuz @maerdtoof Know that none of this can be changed, none of it could be any different. Billions of years of causal chains led here, and it could be no other way; some people have natures like honey and milk, while others are like poison.

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@maerdtoof I almost exactly the same results. Alhamdulillah for Hanafism

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

Reminds me of the destruction of the people of Ād, who denied the Day of Judgement. A furious, violent wind.

I saw this video about what would happen if the earth stopped spinning.

Ibn Rushd please just put the fries in the bag

[Bahāʾ @yyaakamoz]

@mobiusdisk Many years ago I finished the last 3 seasons of this in just a couple of weeks, and the ending wasn't animated yet so I had to look up the manga to finally resolve my obsession. Team Eren

How often do you hear the adhaan being called in Maqam al Segah (also known as Sikah)?
