@pyjamabrah Signedness of char is implementation-specific. 255 is represented as 8 ones. If it is interpreted as 8bit signed int it will represent -1, and if as unsigned, 255. If you increment it by 1, it will flip all bits to zero (invert all of them), resulting in 0 in both interpretations
