mikoto kayano is a fictional character whose report begins with He had a great childhood where everyone loved him and no problems with memory until adulthood
I know everyone is upset by Mikoto’s case but it is NOT cool to throw death threats at Yamanaka, nor is it cool to shit on the other staff who worked on Milgram (animators, Deco, etc.)
Did we not learn from Fuuta? If you want an apology, wishing for someone’s death is not it.
I think a lot of these people don't realise that AI mainly just replaced devs copying everything from StackOverflow or using dumb libraries like `is-even`. Developers have rarely ever written entire codebases from scratch.
Using AI as a tool is very different to vibe coding.
@qtip6453@patchzyy People mad at you probably have never tried something "vibecoded". All you get vibecoding is software poorly done and full of crap, with no debugging at all, and very unsafe
My hottest take is that while the environmental impacts of generative AI are awful, to convince people to stop using it, you should talk about how its anti-human. Humans are defined by curiosity, socializing, creativity, all hurt by AI. Also its proven to cause cognitive decline
Having hyper-empathy SUCKS! I accidentally dropped a soap onto the floor and burst into tears, heartbroken by the pain and humiliation it must have experienced. Then I went for a drive to clear my head, hit someone with my car and didn't feel anything
@nbpdakito i think people conflate forming with presenting.
my ptsd developed when i was 16, but presented when i was 20. id imagine its the same principle here, it can only form in childhood, but can present at any point.
As a dev myself, i wanna sa that the people that are mad that AI was used for coding help have no idea how development of ANYTHING works.
"But the code isn't yours!"
Dude, even before AI, developers as a whole would just use other people's codes from forums😭
