I am so fucking bad at writing articles. Talking down to a potentially-uninformed audience feels like such a tedious waste of time. Why can't we just agree to write and publish articles comprised of only a few maximally-efficient sentences and call it a day?

It seems like every modern writer's primary aim is to waste their reader's time by burying their idea under a steaming pile of irrelevant history, personal tangents, and other useless drivel before making their point.
Everything humans do and say is an effort to gain and/or maintain advantage over other humans. This simple fact eludes nearly everyone. Morality is a cloaked push for establishing a social paradigm that advantages you over others, as are political beliefs, etc.
This is what it means to be human. We are a competitive social species biologically programmed to seek social and tangible resources greater than those acquired by other humans. Nothing exists for us outside of this.
